Chapter fifteen

I felt myself wake up and I mentally groaned. I was way too tired to be up. I reached out for Niall, but all I felt were sheets. Bathroom, I thought. I turned around to face my alarm. 4:47 am, are you fucking kidding me? I sat against my headboard, feeling a bit nauseous from the alcohol. I looked beside me and saw a paper there. I reached for the lamp on my nightstand to read it.

Sorry I couldn't stay babe, Zayn called me to help clean up the house after the party. I'm sorry! I'll call you later, okay?

I was a bit dissapointed, but I understood. I would have done the same. Still tired, I turned the light off and placed the paper on my nightstand. I shuffled to the spot were Niall laid just a few moments ago and let myself bath in his sent. Maybe a bit weird, but I blamed it on the alcohol that hasn't left my system yet. Smelling Niall, I fell asleep again.

Later in the morning, I woke up again. I heard two voices downstairs and a lot of giggling. I walked downstairs to see who it was. Halfway the stairs, I was met by Louis and Liam.

"Up already? I haven't heard you two come home" I said.

"No, up still!" a giggling Louis informed me.

"Why are you home so late? I mean early! No I mean late!" I wanted to scream, but I felt a huge headache coming up so I kept it by raising my voice a tad bit.

"The party ended just now" Liam shrugged.

"Well go sleep then" I got out of the way and let the two boys walk towards their rooms. I made my way downstairs and I felt still tired, yet I couldn't sleep. I went to the kitchen and poured myself three classes of water. I needed the alcohol out of my system. I also took two painkillers for my stomach and head. After that, I made myself some toast and a cup of tea. I was very hungry so after I finished, I decided a bag of crisps couldn't hurt. I looked at the time. 9 am. The party was a killer then. I walked into the living room, grabbed a blanket and turned on the tv to kill some time until Liam and Louis came downstairs to talk about the party. I hope they had fun. I know I did. I was cursed - or in this case blessed - with the ability to remember the night, no matter how drunk I was. And man, did I wanted to remember last night. My first blowjob from a guy. He was actually very sweet when we came to my home. He stayed with me. Not for long, but still. And then I remembered the note he left.

With the blanket still warped around my body, I walked upstairs to grab it. I made it to my bedroom without tripping and read it over again.

Zayn called. When? I didn't sleep that good, so I would have heard it. Or maybe not. But he would wake me up to say he would go, right? No, that's why he left the note. But he said he needed to help Zayn clean up. That wasn't right. The party ended an hour ago. Why would he lie about that?

I walked downstairs but not before I grabbed my phone. No texts or calls yet. I sank into the couch again, not really looking at the tv anymore. He left, to clean? I knew Niall a little bit now, and he would rather sleep than clean. He loved his sleep. And he didn't have to clean, too. Why did he lie? If he just told me the truth, I would be okay with him leaving me. To be honest, it hurt. It hurt that he left me and it hurt that he felt like he needed to lie to me about the real reason he left.

But what hurt the most was that I shared a really intimate moment with him, and he didn't want to be with me afterwards. I was so glad he stopped me from returning the favour. Then I became mad. What was his problem with me? Why did he feel like he needed to play me? He really was bad news. I looked at my phone. No texts, no calls. Not that I expected one. God, I hated him.
