Chapter thirty-three

"W-what do you m-mean?" I heard my voice and mentally scolded myself. I should be angry with him, but I was too shocked to be at the moment. What was he actually saying?

"Nevermind." He mumbled, and wanted to walk away, but Zayn stopped him. He had anger, confusion and...pain? Written all over his face, and I'm pretty sure I looked the same, minus the pain. I quickly stole a glance at Liam, but he only looked relieved. What the fuck was going on?

"I think we need to talk about this." Zayn said sternly.

"Fuck you, Zayn." At that point, Liam of course became angry too, and I saw this was going nowhere if one of us didn't take the responsibility and be the adult in the situation. I knew Louis wasn't gonna be the responsible one, that was obvious. Zayn had too many emotions going on, so my bet was on Liam, since I was way too confused and way too angry. I heard a sigh and looked up to see that indeed Liam did the mature thing of letting go of his anger. He ran a hand over his face and cleared his throat.

"Okay, let's just all sit down." He said softy, but demanding and I really envied Liam for handling his emotions so well. But then I remembered he was in a zombie state like me once, and I guessed he had learned from that. Would I learn to handle my emotions, too?

Louis and Zayn shot angry glanced towards each other, but nonetheless, they listened to Liam and sat down, Louis on the couch and Zayn on the floor. I took a spot on the love seat and Liam came to sit next to me.

"Louis, what did you mean by that?" Liam asked calmly, if he already knew what this was about. Which was probably the case, if I or Louis had a problem we went to Liam. And clearly this was about me, so it was Louis' only option to go to Liam.

"I don't wanna talk about it." Louis mumbled, and I was getting real tired of his shit. He was acting like a child, and eventhough I was sure I acted like one as well, he was more like a five year old whilst I was a fifteen year old.

"You can't just say something and then don't talk about it. Spit it out already." I spat at him, making him flinch and looking at Liam for help, which made me even more pissed.

"I agree with Harry one that one." Zayn said, and I gave him a curt nod. I still didn't like Zayn very much, but he choose my side more than he should, and I started to loosen my grudge a little.

"Yeah, but that's not fair. Harry told us he knew things about Niall and he didn't say shit." He argued, and I knew he had a point, sort of. Nonetheless, Zayn stood up for me.

"You can't compare those cases to one another. Harry lost Niall, it's only human for him to not want to talk about it. But you just said some shit about my best mate you you better spit out why you think you are better for Harry then Niall or I'm gonna kick it out of you." In that moment I became slightly terrified of Zayn, but he was on my side so I guessed I was safe. Liam pulled Zayn by his arm, because we all stood up again, and pulled him in his lap. Who would have guessed Zayn was the woman in the relationship? I shook my head and focussed on Louis again.

"Fine! If you all really must know; I like you Harry, and more than a friend. And I know you are in love with Niall, but listen to me, please. Niall is gone, Harry. I'm here. I wouldn't leave you, unlike him." He said the word him as if it was a disease.

"Harry, I could love you. I like you, but maybe if we start something, I could love you. Anyway, I could love you more than he ever could."

And right then, my anger came back. It hit me like a tsunami and this time Liam nor Zayn could stop me. I grabbed Louis by his collar and pushed him against the wall where I earlier broke a mug. Now, I wanted to break his skull.
