That Nerds Are The Long Lost Gangster Princesses

CHAPTER 13

LIZEL

It's been three months and nothing out of the ordinary has happened. We're back in our afternoon class, but our adviser interrupts Mrs. Fernandez's class to say she have to make an announcement regarding to the program that will take place later this month.

Regarding naman sa mga nambubully sa'min. There are still a few left, and I'm afraid I won't be able to hold off much longer.

I don't think being bullied by someone you know who is weaker than you is really annoying. I want to slice their throats all the way down to their stomachs so that they can taste this Nerd's wrath.

"Class! I'm going to make an important announcement, and I'd like you to pay attention, okay?" binuksan naman nito ang tv na nasa harap ng white board at may ipinakitang poster.

Bigla namang nag ingayan ang mga kaklase namin at akala mo ay mga nanalo sa lotto.

"So, Intramurals is coming up next week, and I'd like to encourage all of you to engage in all of the activities. I'll mark you F for this semester if you don't participate in any of the activities accessible next week. Have a great time and good luck!" nakangiti nitong sabi at nagpaalam na. Nagpaalam na rin si Mrs. Fernandez dahil magta-time na rin naman at kailangan niya pa daw mag announce sa hawak nitong section. Agad namang bumalik ang ingay ng mga ito.

"By the way, you can all leave now. You should all be ready for next week's events, according to the principal!" nagulat naman sila ng biglang magsalita nanaman si Ma'am Jen. Nakasilip pala ito sa pinto at tuluyan na ring umalis.

Lumabas na kami sa classroom. Nabibingi na ako sa tilian ng mga babae don.

"What activity do you prefer? I'm thinking of joining volleyball." sabi ni Erika. That's her favorite sport, so I'm sure she'll go with that. Since junior high sumasali na kami sa mga competition sa school and that's her always first choice.

'Ano nga bang magandang salihan? This has piqued my interest. I'd like to sign up for competitive swimming, but I'd also like to participate in three-on-three basketball.'

"I guess we'll choose three-on-three Basketball. Would you like to join us, Luci? I know that you can't decide between swimming and basketball again!" sabi ni Joy. The twins are always keen on playing basketball. I was the captain of our former school's basketball team when we were juniors. We end up leaving the team when we need to travel to another country for important matter.

"I'll join both." sabi ko dahil hindi ako makapili. They're both my favorite sports, so I thought it would be fun to engage in both at the same time. Tumawa naman ang mga ito dahil ganito rin ang ginawa ko nakaraang taon.

"Me and Jane will join Battle of Mind!" sabi ni Shiela habang nakangisi. Wala naman ng nagawa si Jane. Gusto niya rin naman ito pero alam niyang makikipag kompitensya nanaman sakanya si Shiela kung sino ang makakakuha ng unang pwesto. Shiela never had a chance in mind contests against Jane, therefore she always set a match to settle their scores.

"I'll contact Aunt Hera later to get us registered. Let's go home, and I want to get some rest." sabi ko at dumiretso na sa parking lot sa likod ng school.

JAMES

Naglalakad na kami papuntang parking lot ng makita ko ang anim na babaeng naglalakad papuntang likod ng school. Simula nung first day namin hindi ko na nakausap si Lizel. Hindi kasi ako nito pinapansin at lagi pang tulog. I'm not sure what it is about her that attracts me. I know she's unlike any other girl here in Hendrix that's why I think of her as one-of-a-kind treasure. It isn't just her, her friends as well. However, I have my doubts about their presence here in Hendrix. I'm wary of them, but I don't want to meddle in their business.

"What sports are you in?" sabi ni tristan. Basketball lang naman ang lagi kong sinasalihan sa intrams. Hindi naman sa pagyayabang, but at our previous school, I was the captain of our basketball team.

"I think I'll go to ba---" hindi na ako natapos magsalita dahil sumabat na si Kurt.

"Without a doubt, he'll join basketball again, for sure. You shouldn't bother asking this jerk hahaha!" sabi nito at tumawa ng malakas. Babatukan ko na sana ito nang bigla itong tumakbo.

Isip bata talaga tong kupal na to.

"I'll join basketball as well." sabi ni tristan habang nakatingin sa cellphone.

"Me three." sabi naman ni Sean.

"Me four." sabi ni Shawn habang naka "Four sign".  Tinignan naman namin si Skyler na tahimik na nakikinig sa AirPods nito.

"I'm going to join Battle of Mind. I don't want to be with you, assholes." pagsabi niya non ay kinuyog siya ng mga ito at sabay sabay na nagtawanan.

"What do you think about those girls?" pag iiba ko naman ng usapan at napaisip din sila.

"I don't think so, baka walang salihan mga 'yon." sabi ni Kurt.

"Sa tingin ko meron. Battle of Mind? Imposible namang sumali sila sa mga heavy sports!" tumatawang sabi ni Tristan.

'Ano kaya ang sasalihan niya? I want to invite her to watch our game! Sana pumayag siya.'

Nabigla naman ako ng may bumatok sa'kin.

"Why are you smiling like a creep?" binato ko naman ito ng bag ko. Buti at sinalo niya, I forgot that I brought my laptop with me.

"Shut up!" pagtapos kong sabihin 'yon ay sabay sabay nanaman kaming nagtawanan.
