POV- Abby Tucker
"Gale! No! Gale! Don't die on me now! Gale you can't!"
"Abby lets go, now!"
"Gale!!! NO!"
"Abby let's go for gods sake!" Dakota pulled me out of the room as tears started to poor from my eyes. "Abby he will be fine, these doctors will save him. Let's just get out of here before something freaky happens!" We walked outside out to the car, everyone started with there eyes locked on me as I was crying so hard. Dakota drove as I tried to slow down my tears, which was harder than it looked. "Abby, please stop crying. Please. We have to find out what Gale meant."
"I-I-I-I *sniffs her nose, and wiped tears from her cheek's* I don't know, and I'm trying Dakota! Just leave me alone okay!!!" They both went silent as Dakota drove back to my house. The only noise created was from the cars engine. You could hear a pin drop if you listened close enough. Soon enough, Dakota pulled in front of the garage and I ran into the house like a baby. I went up to my room to have peace with myself. After I slammed the door to my room and threw my face into the pillow, I heard the front door of the house open and close. My ears detected that key flew to the marble table and fell to a stop. Another noise came on, it was the tv. Dakota sat down on the couch with a big whoosh to watch TV, while I was a baby sitting up her crying to my pillow. I sat up and started to sing:
"I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you" Dakota busted through the door before I could continue, and started to sing: "Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like Northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you" I smiled when he finished singing. "Abby, did anyone tell you that you have a beautiful voice?"
"No, but how- how did you know Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts?" He didn't reply just walked over to me and kissed me on the cheek like nothing happened. He started to walk towards the door, but before he could escape I started to sing again. "You know I'd fall apart without you
I don't know how you do what you do
'Cause everything that don't make sense about me
Makes sense when I'm with you" I stopped with a pause to see if Dakota would keep singing. He just looked at the door for a few second before he turned around and walked to me, "Like everything that's green, girl, I need you But it's more than one and one makes two So put aside the math and the logic of it You gotta know you're wanted too" We both started to sing the chorus of the song. 'Cause I wanna wrap you up Wanna kiss your lips I wanna make you feel wanted I wanna call you mine Wanna hold your hand forever And never let you forget it Yeah I, wanna make you feel wanted
We kept singing the whole song by Hunted Hays together until it was over. Dakota sat down next to me smiling. "You truly have an amazing voice, and your truly are perfect, and you can't deny it either. You don't hear people say this to much, but I'm a lucky man!"
"Dakota, please," I said while I held my finger up to his lips. He pulled my hand down, and pushed me down onto the bed. "Dakota!" I was starting to blush.
"I just want to make you feel wanted, geazze Abby, cool your chills," He said and then kissed me. His lips were warm and moist, and I could feel the electric current go through me. It didn't stop, I felt like I had power, lots of power. After a whole make out session he said, "Bye Abby. I'll talk tomorrow."
"Bye Dakota. Don't go and get hurt again!" As he walked out the door he looked at me and telepathically said, "Don't worry, I don't have anything to spare." I fell back onto my bed listening as Dakota grabbed his keys, walked out the door locking it, started his car, and drove off back to his own house. Soon enough I feel asleep, into a deep sleep.
"Abby look out, RUN! He's right there! RUN LIKE A DEER," Gale said. I looked behind me and there stood a man in a suit and tie running towards me. He had a gold badge that said Parahuman Peacekeeper. More and more followed after him, at least 10 people we following behind, and 5 in front of us.
"We have to split up guys," Dakota yelled. "Abby left, Gale right, me right, Damion left, Tracy right, and Tris go left! NOW!!" "BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG!" Shots rang out, and I turned my head around as I sprinted in the opposite direction to see Dakota and Gale drop to the ground.
"NO!! Dakota! Gale! NO!!!"
"RUN Abby, save yourself," I heard Dakota yell from over 100 yards away. "BANG!" I dropped to the ground. Blood started to gush from my right leg under a full moon...
"AHHHHHH." I woke up panting like a dog. My voice echoed in the empty house. I grabbed my phone and called Dakota.
Question of the Chapter~ Wow that was intense, what are your opinions on Abby's dream? Is it real?
