POV- Abby Tucker

 "Hey Abby," Lucy said. She was the most popular girl in school, and her boyfriend was Arvada's quarter back. Everyone loved her except me and my friends. She knew it too. "Meet me after school today, I have something to tell you about Dakota!" The way she said those word to my face made me want to break her face in half. She knew nothing about Dakota, and what did she care about him. "Oh yeah, and I'm sorry with what happened to your bother back at Frankenstein. It's a real shame he killed himself by dunk driving."

"What did you just say?"

"I said meet me behind the school after school. Got it, good. Why do you have to be such an ass?"

"Because you are-

"-Rhetorical question, you don't answer it retard. Don't forget to come after school, or I'll something bad will happen." I nodded my head and walked away. I knew I would have to meet her with whatever gossip she wanted to tell me. If I didn't she could make anything happen, everyone loved her. I don't know how, but even her parents think she is perfect. I heard she has never been grounded or punished, even when she started their house's kitchen on fire.

"What did she want?" Dakota asked.

"Nothing, just homework answers after school," I said while avoiding the eyes I could never lie to.

"Oh really, I know your lying. When you lie you don't look up into my eyes, you look at my nose. I'm smarter than you think." He said with a smirk.

"Hahaha, yeah. I guess lets get off to drawing," I said to his face.

~~~~~~~~~~
"See you at my house later," Dakota said to me before he walked away.
"Can't wait for your surprise," I yelled right back like a dork. He turned around and smiled. "Me too," He said to me telepathically. Or I could just tell that's what his face expression meant. I watched as he drove away. He was given the Ford Mustang his parents originally had. It was my favorite car, and I loved it when we went for rides. As soon as he was out of my sight, I slowly walked around the school building. Before I turned the second corner, I took a deep breath. I could smell smoke, like cigarette smoke. It smelt like it was coming from the back of the building where I was going. I herd people whispering, so I just sat there for a whole minute.
"Where is she Lucy! You said she would be hear after school." A strangers voice yelled. Then I heard a slap. I sounded loud enough to leave a red mark and bruise.
"I told her to be here! Save it for Abby you asshole," Lucy yelled in a wispy voice. A split second later a hand grabbed my arm, twisted it around, and dragged me half on the ground, half in the air behind the building.
"Found her," A manly voice came from the man carrying me. He dropped me right where the ash's were from their cigarettes I could smell before. I coughed, and right then a hot ash landed on my hand. I could feel pain seep through my body.
"Well, well, well. It's the girl who is in my girlfriends way, huh?" A voice like Lucy's boyfriend said. What? What are you talking about? I would never touch Lucy or even get in her way!! Before I finished my thoughts, bottles of alcohol and buckets of cold water were being dumped onto me. I was being kicked, punched, and thrown across the school yard. I could'nt help myself, I wasn't sure what was happening. My vision blurred until I saw nothing. My ears silenced, and I heard nothing. Everything became peaceful like when I used to sneak off to the lake after my bother died.
~~~~~~~~

I slowly opened my eyes. Looking up, I saw an orange sky, and the sun was in the West. It was my favorite time of day, for my favorite color was showing in the late afternoon sky. When I took a deep breath, I could smell the stench of alcohol. Where was I? Then I remembered it all, up until the part where I was kicked in the head. I started to sit up, but pain went through my body as if I was hitting my side on a sharp cornered table infinite times. I decided not to risk anything, so I rolled myself over to the school building, and used it as a guide to sit up. After I leaned against the school, and took my shoes and socks off, and then I noticed all the 5 gallon pales, and box's and bottles of alcohol. It looked like a pond was just put in, and shattered glass was all over. Soon enough I remember that Dakota was waiting for me. So I used the rough school wall to help myself up. My vision was blurry, and I became super dizzy. I managed to walk to the front of the building with the help of it. I saw my car, so I made my way to the rust bucket. After I almost crawled there, I found my keys in my jacket. I put them in the ignition, and watched the school fade away in my mirror. Instead of going straight home like I normally would in this situation, I thought it was best to go to Dakota's for it was closer, and I was dizzy and couldn't see. I went through a couple red lights that looked orange, and almost missed the road he and his family lived on. When I pulled into his driveway, I parked half on the grass, half on the cement. I didn't notice it, but Dakota did. He came running out of the house, and helped me as I tripped out of my car and screamed in pain.

"Abby!!! What happened to you?" He said in a super worried voice. I said nothing back to him. His dad came running out of the house, and he carried me inside. I was given a red shirt and a pair of Dakota's shorts. I soon fell back asleep while Dakota kissed me on the check.

POV- Dakota McCain

 "Ill help you Abby," I said to her before I saw she closed her eyes and fell back asleep. "Mom, call  Abby's parents, and tell them to meet me at the hospital. I'm going to take her there."

"Wait for me son, I'm coming with you." My father carried her out into the back of my car. Soon we were off. We hit every red light on the five mile drive to the hospital, as soon as we got there my dad grabbed Abby, and I got the door of the emergency room. After we explain the situation, they took Abby and made me stay back in the waiting room. Two minutes later Abby's parents and my mom showed up almost in unison.

~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the results came back
"We have successfully removed all the glass from Abby's body. She had to get 10 stitches from where the glass went into her arm, and hand. She had minor scratches on her face, and some major bruises on her back. She does have a concussion too. She will be fine, and you can go visit her now," The nurse told us. We walked off to her room, which was a few down from Damion's old room. I was the first one to walk into her room, and the first one to see her eyes sparkle. I just wanted to run up to hug her like a Teddy bear, and tell her everything was going to be okay. I will take care of her. No matter what happens, and the people that hurt her won't touch her ever again. I would sing her favorite song, and everything would be just fine.
Every time our eyes meet
This feeling inside me
Is almost more than I can take
Baby when you touch me
I can feel how much you love me
And it just blows me away
I've never been this close to anyone,
Or anything
I can hear your thoughts, I can see your dreams
[Chorus]
I don't know how you do what you do
I'm so in love with you
It just keeps getting better
I want to spend the rest of my life,
with you by my side
Forever and ever
Every little thing that you do,
Baby I'm amazed by you.
