POV- Abby Tucker
"Thank you Dakota, I really love you, and I-I-I was hoping you would stay over with me so I don't have to be alone. That is since my parents are out of town. So, uh will you." He stared at me blank eyed for a couple seconds. "Dakota?" I waved my hand in front of his face.
"Yeah, sure, you shouldn't be alone with a concussion. Especially if someone were to break in."
"Your so over protective, and you always think the worse!" I said with a chuckle. He then locked arms with me and his good arm, and led me into my own house.
"It's my job," He smirked. When we got to the door he opened it for me, and locked it when we both got inside.
"I wonder how Gale is, don't you."
"Don't worry Abby, he will be fine. I'm sure we can go see him tomorrow if it makes you feel any better, but first lets make it thought the night." He was turned the lock on the door, and started to walk over to me. I watched him take step by step till he was less than a foot away from me. "Abby," He said while putting his hands onto my chin. I looked him into his bright blue eyes. "I don't know what I would do without you," And he kissed me, and it was the greatest kiss I ever had. It was true love. I knew that we were meant for each other, their was the weird vibe, like an electric current from him into me. After savoring the long moment, he pulled away, and walked me up to my own room.
We got up to my room, and I changed into some pajamas. Dakota just sat on the bed waiting for me to walk out of the bathroom. I put on a grey spaghetti strap tank top, with my green, blue and pink striped pajama bottoms that said PINK across my butt in grey lettering. I walked over to the bed, and lied down on my normal side of the bed. Farthest from the door and closest to the window. "Dakota, you understand that I love you right? I mean, when you saw me with Gale at school I was hugging him because he brought back the memories of Luke, and well... I use to be really close to him and all. I love you Dakota, and I hope you know that."
"I know the Abby, and I'm glad that you can have some of your past with you now. Whatever makes you happy I will let you do." Dakota put his arms around and hugged me as we faced the window. He lifted his head and kissed me on the cheek, "Goodnight Abby."
"Night Dakota."
~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Hospital
"Hello, may I please get the report on Gale, Gale Nash. Excuse me, could you please help me before I fucking do it myself. Helllloooo." I said right at the nurses face while she ignored me. "Assholes, fucking assholes around here." I whispered under my breath. I started to stare deep into her plain, brown eyes. I keep staring not moving an inch, her body jerk like a chill went through her skin, and she got up and came around with the file on Gale.
"Here you go mam'," She said and walked away like nothing happened. That's all it took was to stare into her eye, almost like telepathically speaking. I open the file.
Gale Wolf Nash
Grade 3 Concussion/Unconscious
Broken Neck
Broken Right Leg
Broken Right Arm/Collarbone
Minor Bruises
"Wow. Dakota, I found it. His room is 876, lets go."
"Can we even visit?"
"I don't give a damn if we can or can't visit. He is a long time friend that YOU almost killed." I said, and then turned to the skinny, and good looking woman and the desk with black hair. "Here is your file, thank you and enjoy your life." Bitch I thought to myself. "Well, you lead the way my man."
"This way madam," He said with a chuckle and pointed to the elevator 5 feet to our right. He wrapped arms with me, and dragged me to the elevator and pressed the button with his cast. We walked into the elevator, and no one was with us. I pressed the number in the elevator making it look like a bright, ugly yellow. Dakota hugged me and kissed me on the cheek whispering in my ear, "You have your way with words don't you Abbister."
"Well, maybe. I got it from my brother, who got it from our dad." I said while I smiled with a blush in my cheeks. He kept hugging me while we swayed back and forth. Soon enough we heard a beep, and the door opened. I had to leave his warm body, and the smell of axe. We walked hand in hand till we got to Gale's room. He had his own room, but the walls we faded white, and the curtain on the window was a faded blueish color. Gale just laid on his bed like a mummy covered in casts and paper. The whole right side of his body, which took the major impact, was covered in white cloth and casts. He almost looked dead, like no breath was coming from him.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN HERE!!!! NOBODY NOT EVEN FAMILY IS ALLOWED TO SEE GALE YET. WILL YOU PLEASE LEAVE. NOW!!!" Both Dakota and I turned around to see a man in scrubs staring in to our eyes. I got furious, because I can't take everyone bossing me around like this. I looked into his eyes with a staring and stern face. "It's okay. You got five minutes, I need to get him ready for some more x-rays. We need to make sure we didn't miss any injury's. I'll wake him for you, he just came conscious about 12 hours ago.
"Gale, Gale Nash, you have a couple visitors, and you have to get ready for x-rays in an hour." The doctor said to him. He slowly opened his eyes, and looked around the room slowly. He started in the corner to his left with the chair, and slowly looked past the window, cabinet, and the television mounted on the rough and ugly wall, until he looked at us.
"Abby, Dakota, it's all going to change. They're coming for us, it's not over. Your brother wasn't lying Abby. I saw them. We have to...," Gales heart stopped beating before he finished his sentence.
