Brother's Teammate (Andrew Benintendi)

Chapter 18

MARCH 3RD, 2017 

Well last night was really eventful. I had taken off the promise ring Andrew had given me and I left it in his room to find himself. 

Christian woke me up early because he had to be back at the hotel and he left around 7 and then I fell back asleep. I woke up to Xander shaking me awake. 

"X what do you want?" I asked as I sat up in bed. "I just wanted to check on you, I heard you crying yourself to sleep last night." He said and I sighed. "I can't believe that I trusted him. I didn't think he would do what my ex did to me. Andrew seemed different and he wasn't. That triggered me going to work for Miami you know that right?"

He sighed and shook his head. "I want what's best for you sis. You know that and being with us isn't going to help you get over Andrew and possibly forgive him again. But that's up to you. Just be careful okay?" He said and I nodded. 

"You know I still have to tell John about it, I'll tell him today at the game." I said and he nodded and left my room and I sighed and got up and into my bathroom and went into the shower and just stood there letting the hot water fall over me. 

I finally started to wash myself up and then got ready for the game today. We were playing Toronto, Edwin's former team. (outfit in media.) 

Xander wasn't ready yet, so I called Don and told him that I would take him up on his offer and he asked how soon I could make it to Jupiter and I told him that I would be there tomorrow and we discussed living arrangements and he would talk to the guys about it but he wasn't going to tell them that it was me. 

I was going to stay at a hotel tonight and then move in with whoever I was going to live with. Hoping that it's G and Christian. 

Xander was finally ready and then we made our way to the park and once we got there, Xander went into the locker room and I went to find John in his office. I got there and he was doing paperwork and we talked and I told him about the offer I got from Miami and he wasn't mad because he knew of the circumstances. 

"You know you're always welcome here and back at Fenway, we love you." He said and I smiled and thanked him. Time to start my last day with this team. John brought everyone together in the locker room and had a meeting. 

"We're losing a valuable member of our staff to the Miami Marlins, let's make Kristen's last day here great with a win." He said and everyone clapped and I looked at Andrew and he had no idea what happened. He was drunk last night. 

I sighed and walked out to the dugout and sat there thinking about everything. "Why are you leaving?" Andrew said sitting next to me. "Because I can't stand cheaters, I'm sorry but I can't be around you. The promise ring is back at the house on your dresser." I said getting up and walking away from him and taking pictures around the field. 

The boys ended up winning 10-6, it wasn't pretty but it was a win. I said my goodbyes to the team and staff and then me and Xander left to go back to the house. 

I packed up all my stuff and Xander helped and brought it out to my car and we put everything in the trunk and I gave my brother one final hug. "I'm going to miss you sis. Be careful okay? Don't forget about me and to call."

I sighed. "I'm going to miss you too and I could never forget about you and all you've done for me. I love you X, I'll see you soon." I said giving him one final hug before getting into my car and heading off to Jupiter. 

I left at 7 and got there around 9:45 and I was dead tired. I got checked in and brought one of my bags up to my room and the others would stay in my car for the night. 

I changed into some pajamas and climbed into bed and turned on the TV. I took out my phone and took a picture for snapchat. "Finally some alone time. #relaxed." 

My phone buzzed 10 minutes after that and it was Christian.

Why are you in a hotel room?

I smiled and thought about seeing him tomorrow. 

To: Yelich

I can't tell you just yet, but you'll find out soon enough. I'll talk to you tomorrow, goodnight Christian(: 

I left the conversation at that and turned off the lights and the TV and fell asleep. 

Did I make the right decision?
