I got up early as the usual me does every morning. Mom and dad aren't home because they're in New Zealand for they are studying about the new species that are discovered. My parents are zoologists. That's why I became an animal lover by myself. They send me post cards every week to see how they are doing at work. I also send them some of my pictures of how I was doing at home. Not to mention that I just smile at the camera even though I'm feeling down. It's a habit I'm doing.
I'm living with my aunt May, and my little sister Dorothy. They are close to my heart ever since I was born. Dorothy's three years younger than me. I'm eighteen. She has the same chocolate brown hair as mine and we have the same pair of hazel eyes given by my dad. She's sometimes annoying especially when I'm doing my homework or reading a novel, she would barge in to my door and says random things that she has in mind, but I still love her for who she is.
The scent of the food downstairs wafted to the second floor that made my stomach growl. I laughed at the thought as I picked my simple (but not so simple) outfit for school. I took a warm shower, change my clothes and went downstairs to eat breakfast. I gently shut the door for Dorothy's still asleep. I don't want her to wake up in an alarming mood. But I called her though, so that she can't be late from her school.
"I see your awake Dearie," Aunt May said. Her hair is painted brown and is in a ponytail form. Her apron isn't even full of smudges of her cooking because she's an excellent cook. She smiles at me seeing the wrinkles beneath her eyes. She puts down the well-cooked bacon and pours some of orange juice on my glass.
"Why such in a gloomy state dear?" She replied.
I was still thinking about what happened yesterday. I just faked a smile at Aunt Sarah and ate happily. . . -ish.
"It's nothing. I'm still sleepy," I said as I pretended a yawn.
"Don't worry dear, your sleepiness will fade once your in school," She cupped my chin and kissed my forehead. I tell you that she's the best person you'll ever feel not to be a shamed
We heard footsteps by the stairs and it was Dorothy. Her hair is untidy and her eyes are still drooping a little. She squints her eyes to see better.
"Good morning?" She says.
"Good morning Dearie, Come, have some breakfast with Camber," Aunt May said. Dorothy sat down beside me with her plate and her glass of juice.
"What did you do last night?" I reply giving her a suspicious look.
"Um. . . I was scared that a monster will creep out of my closet," She replied. My fifteen year old sister is afraid of a monster. She's officially a teenager now, and she's still scared like a baby.
We kept eating while Aunt May is cleaning up her kitchen tools that was used for our breakfast. I kissed Aunt May on the cheek as we were all leaving the house. Me going to school on my own, while Aunt Sarah and Dorothy headed for Dorothy's school. We don't have a car but we separated ways anyways. I took a bus going to Shortline Street and there you'll find my school, Bosto's High school.
I was walking at the parking lot when a car almost hit me. I fell, it's good that I held nothing except my bag. The car which I got bump is a blue small, but expensive sport's car. It's filled with the popular beings (the cheerleaders).
