Chapter 13 ^_^

Rayne's POV

I laid on the soft grass unable to move as if I was paralysed. I looked around trying to blink away the blur, I suddenly heard footsteps headed my way.

"Finally we meet." The voice somewhat calmed me and made Faith purr. I felt arms lift me up, but what was more confusing was that I felt sparks but they werent as strong as the ones I felt with Chance.

I then felt something soft under me. I couldnt speak, I couldn't see straight, I didnt know what to do.

"Sleep Faith, it will all be over soon." The soothing voice said.

And thats what I did.

Chance POV

Ever since I lost her scent in the forest my wolf and I were on edge. We couldn't contact her because we haven't mated. After what felt like 20 minutes I ran towards the Black Rose pack where I knew Rylee was since she left school right after her sister ran off. Once I crossed the border 6 wolves from their pack were running alongside me. I reached the pack house and the wolves disappeared back into the forest and Chase was waiting for me with a pair of shorts. I quickly shifted and put them on, I followed Rylees scent with Chase behind me and we entered the office to see Rylee with her eyes closed.

"I can't feel her." She whispered.

"What do you mean you can't feel her?" I yelled slamming my fist on the desk which she didn't flinch at.

Chase growled at me warningly but I ignored him.

Rylee opened her eyes and looked at me.

"She's not dead so thats a good thing, but I can't feel her presence on Earth."

"So what now?" I asked.

"There's nothing we can do right now but hope that she comes back or that her spirit finds her way back here." She says calmly while getting up from her seat and heading to the door.

"What? That's it?! Surely there's something you can do to find her! She's my mate!" I yelled furiously at her. Chase growled loudly but before he could come near me, Rylee turned around and grabbed me by the neck tightly. But her grip wasnt enough to kill me so I guess she had some self control. Her strength impressed me as she lifted me off the ground.

"She's my sister! You think I don't care what happens to her? Yes I am calm on the outside but you do not understand how I'm feeling on the inside! She taught me to never show fear in front of anyone even in the worst situations, no matter how helpless I feel I will not show fear." She then puts me down and lets go of me.

"So keep calm and shut the fuck up, okay? Now I'm going to talk to your mother about some things and you can keep an eye out on your borders while I'll have my border patrol out on the look out. I'll send Alex out to no mans land with my best trackers and some worriors."

She walked out and Chase followed after her but not before turning around and smirking at me. " She just slayed you." I reached to grab him but he dodge me and ran out. I growled and followed after them and shifted once I was outside.

Rayne's POV

I woke up and rubbed my eyes, I looked around to see that I was in a dark room.I got up and opened the curtains to let the sun shine in, from the room all I could see was the woods, no other buildings around here. I turned to head towards the door but stopped as soon as I saw my reflection in the mirror. I was in the same clothes I wore to school but what took my breath away were my eyes. They were red exactly like Faith's eyes, I felt different, stronger than before. I needed to get out of here.

I exited the room and walked down the maze like hallways, I was in a vampire territory I could tell by the way the air smelt like a dead corpse and another scent that smelt familiar, it was the same scent from my uncles pack in Canada. But I wasn't interested in that just yet because there was one scent in this house that didn't smell so horrid and soon enough I was outside two large doors.
