Chapter 14 ^_^

Chance's POV

I arrived at the Ember creek pack with my mom and Rylee to see Alpha Coen waiting for us. My dad and Chase wanted to come but it too many Alphas in one territory would make everything tense and on guard. We didn't want to threaten anyone.

We followed him to where he keeps his prisoners and my wolf growled not liking where our mate was being held.

He stopped in front of a door where 2 guards were standing and opened the door. And there was my mate chained and unconscious.

"My men found her on the edge of the west border, she demanded to be chained with our strongest chains and to be put to sleep." The Alpha spoke.

"Rylee put me in her head I need to talk to Faith." My mother said. Rylee nodded and put her hand on Raynes head and grabbed on to my mothers waiting hand.

We sat waiting for my mother as she was trying to connect to Faith. The Alpha was showing me a map of his territory of strange sightings of Rogues and Vampire scents all heading West and South.

"I've sent my best trackers out there but the scents just dissapear. we think it may be another one of the vampire tricks setting up fake scents." he says.

"Yes they tend to do that when an Alpha catches wind of them." I said.

His eyes then looked like he was looking in the distance which meant he was talking to someone through the mind link.

"Your mother is back." he said.

I quickly rush back to the dungeon to see Rylee comforting my mother who was trying to slow down her breathing.

"What happened?" I asked as I made sure my mother was okay.

She shook her head, "You need to mark her." she whispered softly.

Rylee pulled away, "No he can't. Not now at least." she says.

"What why not?!" I said getting frustrated.

"He has too before its too late, he is already losing to him!" My mother says standing up.

A tear dropped from Rylees eyes as she buried her face in her hands.

"Rylee you know this has to be done, before its too late, you knew this was going to happen."

"I can't lose her, I just got her back I can't lose her again. We don't know what will happen if Faith rejects it." Rylee exclaims.

"Can someone explain to me what the hell is going on!" I yell getting everyones attention.

Rylee looks away as if I killed a puppy while my mother holds my hand trying to calm me down.

"It seems Rayne has created 2 seperate worlds in her head, her world where there is peace and Faiths world. Faith is locked up, blood everywhere you step. But she came into physical contact with the dark moon goddess which has made Faith stronger than before." My mother explains.

"Long story short that goddess just released Faith and to make things worse she found a second mate which she believes is her true mate and you need to mark her and mate with her before Faith takes over again runs back to that vampire and mates with him. which in the end we'll lose Rayne completely and then we'll have this big war since we know that they're planning to destroy every pack with Faiths help on the night of the eclipse. Down side of it is that if you do choose to mark her then there is a 70% chance that Faith will fight off the bond and could kill Rayne in the process. Rayne is already weak she is fighting Faith off every second of her life." Rylee says.

I let go of my mothers hand and reached out to Rylee and pillend her into a hug. "I understand where your coming from Rylee, but if this is the only way to help Rayne then we need to do this." I say pulling away.

"No we'll figure out another way, I'm not risking her life." she said and left the dungeon.

I sighed and ran my hand through my hair then took a step towards my mate.

"Alpha, unchain her we will be on our way. Thank you for taking her in." The Alpha nodded and ordered his men to unlock the chains.

Rylee's POV

I paced around in my room trying to think, Ever since Rayne first went missing Alex has been in charge of the pack. He has been training all our worriors and mixing up shifts in case there are spys trying to learn our routine.

"Babe stop thinking its not good for you or the baby." Chase says rubbing my stomach. He was right but I couldnt help it.

"Get some rest please, you need it. I'll wake you up if anything happens." He says pushing me gently towards the bed. I sighed and laid down getting comfotable as he tucked me in and kissed my head.

Once I relaxed sleep started to take over...

Suddenly I woke up feeling on guard, I quickly got out of bed and rushed to where all the tension was which led me to Raynes room.

There she was, staring at me with Chance by her side. She smiled and I rushed to hug her pushing Chance to the side which earned me a growl.

I pulled back from our hug and caught something different in her eyes. I tried to look closely but She looked down avoiding eye contact.

Something didn't feel right, it was like she was here but at the same time she wasn't. Clearly Chance didn't notice because of how he looked at her with so much love.

"Did you miss me Rylee?"

I shook my thoughts away and gave Rayne a warm smile. "Of course I did, I was worried sick."

Chance reached out and held her hand and I noticed the way Rayne frowned and  glared at their hands.

"I'll be back I need to check on the pack." I say and quickly made my way to my office.

I quickly called Luna Lexi and waited after 3 rings until she finally picked up.

"Hello?"

"There's something wrong with Rayne." I Said.

"What? What happened? Is she in pain?"

"No no I don't know, but shes different I can feel it as if its not her. I think it's Faith."

"Keep an eye on her for any more signs, make sure shes never alone. You need to warn Chance make sure he knows the plan." She answered.

"Okay I'll try to get in her mind when shes asleep. I'll let you know if I find anything." I said

"Okay I'll get in contact with my mother and come over tomorrow. Bye Rylee be safe."

"You too."
