Rayne's POV

"Where were you young lady?" My mom asked standing at the door with her hands on her hips.
It was around dinner time by the time I got home.

"With my mate, sorry I forgot to tell you I was coming home later. Um where's Rylee? I thought she would've told you." I say walking in the house with my mom.

"She did, shes on her way home now and I was just wondering where you were but I'm so happy for you! I heard it's Chase's twin." She says excitedly.

"Yeah, him um I'm going to have a shower." I say as I walked up the stairs.

"Okay be quick dinners nearly ready!"

I walk towards my room to be greeted by Simba rubbing his head on my hand wanting to be patted.

"Hey Simba, I missed you." I kissed his head and headed to my closet while he went to lay on my bed. I grabbed some clothes and went straight for the shower. When I came out of the bathroom Rylee was laying on my bed with Simba's tail hitting her face.

"So? What did you and your mate get up to that was so important that you just had to ditch me at school?" She asked while smirking.

I sighed, "Not much really we kissed and drove to a park and just enjoyed the peace and quiet. I guess we're both still in shock that we're mates I mean you remember how we thought that since we were cursed that we wouldn't get mates."

"I know but it's not a curse anymore Ray." She says softly. I looked her in the eye.
"You don't know that Rylee. Yes they are gifts from the moon goddess but you never know when we could lose control. Come on dinner should be ready."

We all walked down stairs and had dinner. "Remember tomorrow we'll be having dinner with the Alpha and his family at the Redstone pack." Mom says looking at me in particular because I never like going to other pack territories. I don't know why but I just feel on edge not because I might get attacked from the pack but because I might lose control and attack them. And I never want that to happen.

"Come on get up! Breakfast is ready! You know how much I love your mums cooking and I don't want to miss it!" Alex pulled my balnket away and carried me to the bathroom.

"Wash up then come down to eat, I'll try wait for you. No promises!" He yells out before running to the kitchen. Sometimes I think he only comes over to eat our food rather then to see us.

After I was done getting ready for school I went down stairs and pouted when I saw all the bacon and eggs gone.

"You took too long princess, Alex ate them all." Dad says while reading the newspaper?

"Since when did you read the newspaper? The date on it says its 2 weeks old." I gave him a blank face.

"What? Isn't that what old people do?" He says innocently.

I rolled my eyes at him. I will never understand why he does things that will make him seem older and wiser. Why follow the movement like normal people when you can stand out from everyone else? Get it? No? Nevermind.

"Okay Rayne heres your food I saved some for you before dad and Alex could get their kitty paws on it." She says handing me the plate.

"Awe you do care!" I say holding my hand to my heart as she rolled her eyes at me.

"Rylee that is very mean, We all know that Alex is the only one with kitty paws around here." Dad says chuckling. We laughed as Alex stared at us boredly.
