A few months ago I was living a perfectly normal life. I had a loving family of my mum, dad and sometimes annoying little sister, Bella. Although we kept moving from country to country, we soon settled down in the north of Canada enjoying life for the month.

Then Mum and Dad blew it all up, saying we were going to head West to British Columbia. I stared hard at them. They stared hard at me. Bella stared hard at the chocolate bar I had clenched in my fist. Then I softened, remembering Dad hadn't gotten a raise in weeks. I started to laugh. "Moving? Pull the other one guys. Right, I'm going to my room and-" I was caught off guard when I saw their faces were serious.

"We're really moving aren't we?" I say the words slowly as if it felt like pain to say them. And it did.

I hadn't really made much friends here but I liked the neighborhood. I had recently joined clubs to find friends since not even a month ago we had just moved here. And now they were playing Bomb It with me again.

I looked over at Bella. "How do you feel about this?" I asked her. She shrugged and leaned over to grab the chocolate bar. I held it towards her and slowly put my head in my hands. "Mum, Dad you do know this moving is stressing me out, right? We're just going to move again and we won't even have a proper home."

"Aaah but darling!", Dad pointed out. "This one is permanent! We'll live in British Colombia for the rest of our lives!"

My head jerked up. Dad had never said anything like THAT before. "Just wait till you see the house!" Mum egged on. "It's absolutely devine! A beach for our backyard, 3 large bedrooms, tennis courts.." I found myself bubbling with excitement. Tennis has always been our family sport. "It even has vending machines!" Mum went on glancing at Bella."Now that will be living in style!" Bella jumped up and started dancing. "Yay! We're moving!"

But I had to be sure first. "Are you sure you're not just pulling my leg?"

"Have a look for yourself!" Dad exclaimed, clearly getting excited himself. He handed me a leaflet of the new house. Sure enough it was true. The house was amazing.

I was so happy even I started jumping up and dancing. Then Mum and Dad joined in and we fell about laughing.

I knew this new life would be perfect.
