                                                                     SPECIAL STORY PART

After school, my brain was on the verge of exploding because I was thinking of a way to scare Hideki. I flopped onto my bed and smiled.

I had just thought of a wonderful idea.

I started texting my friends stating all the things I would need.

They agreed to bring the stuff I needed to Corl's Christmas Party.

Dani was talking to me in class earlier that day. She burbled on and on and I had stopped listening for a while but I remember her saying something about her pet tarantula.

I quickly texted her to ask for her to bring Gus secretly to the Christmas party. She asked, "Why?"

"Oh, you'll see." I texted and stuffed my phone under my pillow.

Excited about Christmas tomorrow, I soon fell asleep.

It was Christmas morning. I ran downstairs, and ripped open my presents. 

Mum and Dad had given me a tennis racket phone case to go with my iPhone 7 Plus. Bella had given me a tennis bracelet to go with my charm. (I nearly cried tears of joy after hugging them.)

I had given Mum perfume and Dad an antique teapot he was looking for. He said he was looking for it for years, but I had found it online for three dollars. I didn't mention this, though.

I had given Bella a Hello Kitty racket. She jumped up and down and thanked me about a hundred times.

"Just doing my job." I laugh.

After breakfast, I looked at my watch.

It was time to take action.

First, I went to Corl's house and helped him set up decorations for the Christmas party he was planning. I asked if Hideki was going to be there.

Corl turned around and made a face. "Yeah, but I'll keep you as far away as possible from her, if you want me to."

I'd better think up a lie!

"It's fine! Me and Hideki are nearly best friends." I said quickly.

He looked at me, very confused, but I smiled.

 "Can you pass me the tinsel?" I asked. "I wanna show you something."

Corl grins and passes me the tinsel. I make a bow shape out of it and tie it together with red velvet. Corl high fives me. "Just doing my job." I say, and we continue making more of the tinsel bows.

A few hours later, the first guests arrived. There was a girl named Emma and her brother Sam.

Corl greets them and invites them in. After a few minutes, it was clear that the party was going no where. Corl and the two guests stood in the living room, while I frantically made snacks.

Then, I couldn't take the silence anymore and switched on music. More people started pouring into the house. Corl smiles at me thankfully. I wink.

"Just doing my job." I mouth.

A few minutes later I see Dani slip into the house carrying a small box. I put down the tray of food I was holding and rush over to her.

"I'm guessing this is for the plan?" Dani says as soon as I walk over. I nod. 

"But (your name) Hideki really likes-" Dani starts, but I interrupt her. 

"Go stand near the top of the banister. Hideki won't see you there. Drop Gus on Hideki when Yuy taps her forehead twice." I tell her. 

Dani obediently goes to the banister and seconds later, Tabitha walks in the house.

She was wearing a Santa costume and is holding a huge sack. "(Your name?)". Tabitha says in a timid voice. "I don't wanna get involved in this plan."

Bummer. I thought. What do we do now?

I smile my best smile and say, "It's okay." 

Tabitha runs into Corl's room and closes the door.

 Yuy and Chie walk in, along with a few people I had seen from school. Amongst these people is Hideki.

She doesn't notice me. Chie drags me into a corner. "Have you got a plan? You texted me to bring a camera." 

I grin. "The plan is Dani dropping her tarantula onto Hideki's hair."

They look at me, their eyes shining. Then Chie looks at me, confused. "What do you want with the camera?"

I was especially proud of myself for thinking up this plan.

 "The camera," I told Chie. "Well the camera is to video Hideki when the tarantula drops on her and whenever she is mean to us, look at the video and you may feel better."

"Can I video?" Chie asks. I nod.

"Yuy, you can distract Denis while you're both near the top of the banister, so Hideki thinks he dropped the tarantula on her." I say.

They both nod and set off to work.

Then Adriana walks in. "Hi," she smiles.

"Adriana!" I say quickly. After explaining the plan to her I notice she looked a little bit scared. 

"What's up?" I ask. 

"I don't want the tarantula to fall on me." Adriana admits.

"Don't worry," I assure her. "It won't."

After running a few errands for Corl, I see a Santa in the corner of the room giving selection boxes out. I turn to Corl. "Who's that?" I ask.

"That's Tabitha." Corl says.

So that's why she was dressed up as Santa.

I skip over to her and smile.

"Hey Santa." I grin. "How about you give me something other than a selection box- your time?"

And ignoring the panicked look on her face, I grab her hand and lead her across the room.
