When the both of them reached home, Amanda hurriedly left the car and opened the front door to their house. She entered swiftly and ran upstairs towards her room. After shutting her bedroom door, she took off her socks and sat on the carpeted floor. Now what? The car ride with Brandon was awfully awkward. She wanted to start on her "bonding with brother" plan but she did not know where to start. Pulling her hairband from her wrist, she began tying up her hair. Now what, she asked herself again. She heard Brandon's bedroom door slammed shut. So Brandon is in his room now. Amanda pondered for a while until she hears her tummy rumbling. Well, better get something to eat, she thought.
As she stood up and brushed her skirt down, an idea struck her mind. That's it! The way to a man's heart is his stomach! Not sure if Brandon is considered as a man, but it's worth to try, she shrugged. Opening her bedroom door, she skipped happily without realising Brandon leaving his room as well.
Brandon closes his bedroom door and saw Amanda skipping happily in front of him. What's with this freak? Does she not know she's blocking my way? Feeling annoyed he pushed Amanda to the side, making Amanda hit the wall beside her.
"Ow!" , holding her shoulder, Amanda turned to look at Brandon's annoyed face.
"You're in my way bitch." and with that, he continued walking towards the staircase.
Amanda argued in her mind not to push Brandon down the stairs at that moment.
Okay, come on Amanda. You can do this. He just needs affection, that's all. Let it go. Let him go. But then again, what are the chances of me pushing him down the stairs? He would get injured and be hospitalised. Yes! That's the solution! NOOOOO! No brain! Bad Brain! Amanda scolded herself.
I will not let my anger take over me. I can do this. I just have to l- lo- loathe, I mean, love him. Love him like he's family. Amanda took a few deep breaths and went down the stairs. She proceeded to the kitchen and saw Brandon opening the cabinet doors looking for something.
"Hungry?" Amanda asked.
"No. I'm starving." Brandon replied sarcastically.
Amanda rolled her eyes. She went towards the fridge and opened it. She took out some broccoli and carrots. She opened the freezer next and took out two slices of chicken breast meat. Brandon observed silently.
With her hands full, Amanda turned to Brandon. "Aren't you gunna help?"
"No. I'd rather have my hands cut off."
"Ew, you're disgusting." Amanda walked towards the sink and dumped all the ingredients into it. She began prepping the ingredients so she can cook them up for lunch.
"Don't we have assistants or chefs to do all these for us?" Brandon asked while taking a seat at the small kitchen table.
"Nah, I told mum and dad to fire them since I'm old enough to prepare food on my own." Amanda replied, as she chopped the vegetables into edible pieces.
"Wow, you're really dumb."
Amanda ignored him. She continued preparing her ingredients. After that, she started to prepare the pan and began cooking up lunch for the both of them. Meanwhile, Brandon continued observing her in silence. When everything is done, Amanda served the food into two separate plates; one for each of them.
"Eat up.", she gestured him.
Brandon looked at the pan fried chicken slices and vegetables. He took a sniff.
"Uh, did you just sniff your food?" Amanda looked at him weirdly.
"Just in case you whipped out poison into it."
