Lunchtime (Cafeteria)
Amanda left her classroom quite late which resulted her to receive only a slice of cold cheese pizza from the cafeteria workers. Probably a leftover from yesterday; Amanda thought to herself. She scanned the room with her eyes, in search for her best friend. As she spotted Lisa's table, she spotted another being over there as well. It was Nate. Her stomach felt uneasy. Does she really have to face Nate more than once in a day? Before this she had always wished for Nate to be around her but now she just wants to avoid him.
Amanda took a deep breath and made her way towards Lisa's table. Lisa saw her and a surprised expression formed on her pretty face. Nate, who was sitting opposite Lisa turned to see who it was.
"Manda!" Nate voiced out. "Come, sit next to me." He gestured to the seat beside him.
"Yeah, sit. Anywhere is fine as well." Lisa added.
"Sure..." Amanda looked at the both of them weirdly and took a seat beside Lisa. She felt like as if Lisa's expression on seeing her was a bit weird.
"So...uh, how was History class? I saw the romantic scene you both did outside class today." Lisa teased both Nate and Amanda.
"Oh shut it you." Nate laughed as he threw his napkin at Lisa's face.
"Ew! You're disgusting!" She laughed out loud.
Amanda smiled seeing the both of them getting along now. "It wasn't romantic, more like awkward," she mumbled to herself.
"What's that Manda?" Lisa asked, since she wasn't paying attention.
"Oh no, I said the pizza tastes good." Amanda said as she took a bite off the cold pizza.
Nate however, heard Amanda mumbling. He felt upset that Amanda actually thought what he did this morning was awkward. He continued eating his food in silence.
Lisa saw the pizza Amanda was eating and said in disgust; "That was yesterday's dear. Ew, don't eat that. Here, have some of my salad." She pushed her bowl of salad towards Amanda.
"It's fine. I enjoy pizza; cold or warm." She pushed the bowl back towards Lisa.
After that, the three of them ate in silence.
After school (Carpark)
Amanda waited for Brandon for half an hour inside the car. What is taking him so long? After a while, Brandon entered the car. Amanda looked at him as he took out his drinking bottle and drank it. "Where were you?" she asked.
Brandon closes his bottle cap and answered her, "Giving Lisa's container back to her."
"The blue container? I thought it looked familiar. She has a similar one but purple in colour."
"Shut up."
"What..."
"I don't want to listen to your boring stories okay? I told you, I don't like you." Brandon said harshly, silently reminding himself that he meant what he said.
Amanda let out a sigh. "Sure," she said quietly.
The both of them kept quiet and stared outside the car window throughout the ride home.
Sommer's Residence
When they reached home, Amanda hurriedly ran up the stairs and to her room. Brandon heard her bedroom door shut. "What a drama queen." He mumbled to himself. After locking the front door, Brandon threw his bag onto the floor of the living room. He plopped himself onto the sofa and took his phone out of his pocket. He noticed a text from Lisa.
