School (lunchtime, cafeteria)

Lisa entered the cafeteria with Nate by her side. They were chatting about class when Lisa suddenly saw Brandon sitting at a table alone. Lisa stopped walking and turned to Nate.

"Hey, you cool?" Nate asked her.

"Yeah, I just need to do something for a bit. Grab me some apple juice?"

"Sure. Meet you at our table." He smiled. As he left, Lisa immediately went over to Brandon's table.

Brandon was listening to music through his earphones and sipping on his juicebox. Lisa pulled the chair beside him and sat down. She rested her chin on her palm and stared at the fair-skinned, dark-haired guy beside her. He was completely oblivious with her presence. Probably listening to a really good song; she thought to herself.

After finishing his drink, Brandon crumpled his juicebox and stood up. Lisa immediately grabs his arm. Feeling surprised, Brandon jumped a little, making Lisa laugh. "The hell Lisa?"

"I'm so sorry, oh it's just so adorable how you jumped when you saw me," she said as she laughed.

Brandon pulled his arm from Lisa's grip and grabbed his bag. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be having lunch or something?"

Lisa stood up from her seat. "I was about to ask you the same thing. You're only having juice, are you on a diet or something?" she asked, lifting her finger up to her cheek, making a wondering face.

Brandon smirked. He looked around. "I'd grab myself a sandwich but I don't like standing in line. So, juice machine is good enough," he said while shaking the crumpled juicebox that was in his hand.

"Hmm...Maybe I could get you some sandwich...If you come have lunch with me." Lisa said in a cute manner.

"I don't think so. I've got to get going. I'm heading to the library."

Lisa rolled her eyes slightly. "Oh come on, you sound like a nerd. Comeeeeeee have lunch with me? Please?" She said, flickering her eyelashes, making it difficult for him to turn down the pretty girl.

Brandon lets out a sigh. "Fine. But only for a while."

"Yay! Come, it's right over there!" She said excitedly, while pulling Brandon along with her.

Cafeteria (Amanda's table)

Amanda spooned the salad into her mouth, chewing slowly while reading her literature novel.

"You know, they did say it's not a good habit to eat and read at the same time." The voice said, as he placed his tray beside her.

Amanda looked to see who it was. "Oh, Nate. What are you doing here? Where's Lisa?" she closed her book.

Nate smiled. "She's talking to Brandon over there." He pointed to where Lisa and Brandon were. "This seat taken?" He asked, holding onto the chair beside her.

"No...I guess."

"Great." He pulled the chair and sat beside her. Amanda smiled briefly and continued eating her salad. Nate smiled, seeing that Amanda was not acting cold towards him. He bit onto his sandwich and pulled out his phone. He dialed on a number.

A familiar upbeat tune rang from inside Amanda's bag. Amanda put down her spoon and took out her phone from her bag. Seeing the name on the screen, she rolled her eyes slightly. She turned to Nate. "Seriously?"
