Alexandros
"Is this the place?" Agatha whispers looking at the slightly worn out building while the other two Immortals search the surroundings for any trace of men in black. "It looks like an unusual place for a home."
"That's because it's a loft, you would know more about modern architecture if you weren't too busy defying nature's laws and saving people who don't deserve it." Lysander retorts.
"There is nothing wrong with wanting to help people." Agatha retorts with kindness, I have never seen her angry, it's as though she is unable of rudeness.
"It's against our nature." Lucius hisses. "We could've had dinner with that hacker guy, for example. But no, you had to ruin it all, just as usual."
I ignore them all and snatch the address paper from Lucius' hand, walking fast towards the front door of the building. I feel Agatha following me, her presence always making me feel calm and peaceful, an effect she doesn't seem to have on either Lucius nor Lysander.
"Agatha, you might want to step back." I warn her before kicking the door in, sending it flying across the room.
"Geez, was that really necessary?" Lysander's annoying voice asks.
I decide to ignore him and step inside the long hallway in front of me, the lights immediately flicker and turn on when I cross the threshold.
"Let's get this over with. You cover the upstairs rooms, we'll deal with this floor." Lucius disappears in the the closest room, soon followed by his loyal brother.
I follow Agatha up the metal stairs, every step we take echoing throughout the whole house.
"Brother." She tentatively calls.
"Yes, Agatha." We enter what looks like a big modern bedroom.
"Are you in love with the elf?" She asks me in an affectionate tone.
"I might be." I answer truthfully, remembering Lily with her golden hair lying right beside me in her bed. I had watched her as she slept, trying to memorise every single freckle on her nose and curve on her body, probably already aware of the fact that something bad would happen.
"Though it is strange to see you this way, I am happy for you. She has a pure heart." She tells me this with emotion in her voice, like she truly believes it is possible for a terrible creature like me to deserve such a beautiful being like Lily.
"I fear I do not deserve her, I am a monster and she despises our kind." I keep on inspecting every surface and object, but nothing stands out as peculiar.
"She will see that you have a brave heart and a beautiful soul, I am sure of it."
I do not answer, her words seem to be describing someone that is not me.
"I can't seem to be able to find anything of use to us here." She sighs massaging her temples and making her long dark hair float.
"Nor do I." The pain in my chest starting to come back again.
"Alex!" Lucius voice roars from downstairs.
Goosebumps form on my skin and my senses liven. I exchange a brief look with Agatha and run down the stairs as if my life depended on it.
" What?" I storm into the room and find myself speechless. "What's going on here?" Confusion sweeps me over. There are hundreds of pictures of Lily plastered all over the walls, on the floor and on every surface there is.
"I think Lily has a stalker. " Lysander states taking a picture from the wall and studying it. "It's not like she was posing for these. " He points at a photo of her eating a bagel.
" Yes, especially this one. " Lucius smirks holding a picture of her naked body, while she dries her hair off with a towel.
"Don't you dare look at her." I warn him, taking the photo away from him and slipping it in my pocket.
I wander around the room and find nothing, sighting in defeat I let myself fall on the soft armchair beneath me.
"Oh, crap." Agatha sighs holding a framed photo in her hands. We all look at her strangely for she never swears.
"Agatha!" Lysander bellows in an amused way. " Bad, bad girl."
"I regret my choice of words, but you must see this brother." She hands the frame over to me and I immediately stand up in shock.
"No, this cannot be." My fangs suddenly protrude. Lily looks back at me smiling in the man's arms, the same man that has abducted her minus the silver scar. Shock is slowly replaced by anger. "I was fooled." The portrait in my hands suddenly cracks under the pressure of my fingers and blood starts staining the photo.
"I don't believe so." Agatha shakes her head and slowly removes the broken glass from the palms of my hands. I find myself being unable to feel anything but a numb pain in my chest. Agatha touches my hands and heals my wounds, both the visible and the invisible.
"We should definitely kill her." Lysander retorts, Lucius nods in agreement.
"No." Agatha states with a calm tone both the brothers find unnerving. "She has a pure heart, I can sense it, I believe that this is all a scheme to turn us against her."
"If that is the case, I am most definitely going to kill this man." I fist my hands in anger.
"This is no fun." Lysander whines.
"Shut up, Lizzie." Lucius warns him seeing my angered expression. "Floriana is looking for us at home, we must go at once, she claims it is urgent."
"Surely another one of her bitches has escaped and she needs us to help her find it." Lysander laughs.
"Let's go. " Lucius calmly picks up the car keys and exits the house, soon followed by his loyal brother. It is as if they are a unique entity, they do nothing one without the other.
"Alex? Are we going?" My sister asks with her big brown eyes.
I nod slowly, as if shell shocked. I take in the pictures of my beloved Lily one more time beforec saying goodbye and leaving the house that has me so troubled.
