um okay so.

believe it or not.... this is the last chapter of this book.

I hadn't originally planned for this to come to an end so soon, but I realized that the more this story went on, the more I was bullshitting it, if I'm being honest. Every time I write up a chapter for this, I'm thinking to myself... "Why am I still dragging this out?"

I have no more ideas left for this story, and I was sick of sitting in front of my laptop and trying to think of irrelevant plot/plot twists for this book. So, I decided that it was time for Photos to come to an end.

Now, I'm not sure if I'll be posting an epilogue for this. Writing this chapter was hard enough, I don't know if I have anything left for the epilogue. If it comes to me within the next 2 weeks at least, then maybe I'll post an epilogue. If not, then this is the end.

Thanks for reading it, you guys. Your love and support is always appreciated and welcome. Thank you.

Chapter 32—Photos

{ a u t u m n }

Luke's birthday was coming up, and I had close to no idea what to get him as a present. I wanted it to be something special and that he'd love, but not a thing popped in my mind as I tried to think of something. The perfect gift would be hard to achieve, but I wanted to get Luke something meaningful, and I just had to figure out what that would be. I groaned—why did giving gifts have to be such a process?

"Instead of buying something, why don't you make him a gift?" Danielle suggested as we left the school after hearing about my present dilemma.

"Make him what, though?" I countered with a sigh, fishing for my keys in my bag before pulling them out. "I'm not the most artistic person in the world."

My best friend rolled her eyes, pulling out her own car keys. "I'm not talking arts and crafts, dumbass," she said, prompting me to shoot her a scowl. "Just, like, something cute and meaningful. Like a scrapbook, but not really. He's turning eighteen, not eighty."

I rolled my eyes, before pausing as I thought over her words. Suddenly, as if someone flicked a switch, a light bulb went off in my head as I thought of an idea. "Oh, my God, I know what to do," I excitedly exclaimed, letting out a quick squeal that caused Danielle's eyes to widen. "I can, like, print out all these pictures of me and him, and put them in a photo album, y'know? And then, like, on the back of each picture I'll write down a memory of the day the photo was taken!"

Danielle nodded, a smile spreading on her face. "Yeah! Oh, my God—that's so cute."

I grinned triumphantly, feeling a bit relaxed now that I had in mind what to get Luke. Now it was only a matter of getting everything together, which shouldn't be too hard. I could buy a cute photo album from an arts and crafts store, and if I hurried, I could use this app I had on my phone where I can order pictures to be developed for free and I would get them in my mail within a week.

Bidding goodbye to Danielle, I got into my car, but before I put the key in the ignition I had pulled out my phone and went on the app, ready to select the pictures for Luke's gift. There were several pictures of Luke and I on my phone, and I even selected a few candids I had taken of Luke—just because he was so nice to look at and the pictures were so nice. After selecting a close to forty pictures, I had submitted for them to be developed, and once it went through I got a confirmation e-mail telling me they'd arrive in about a week.
