(Hermione's POV)

Hermione watched as the snowflakes tumbled down from the blue sky, and gently landed on the ground. Oh my, how she loved the winter. Winter was in her mind, the most wonderful time of the year. Mainly she loved winter because of Christmas, but there was more. The feeling of coming inside after being out in the cold. Her checks would be flushed red, and her hands cold as ice. Although her hands would be freezing, she loved the feeling of warming them up again. Cuddling up by the fireplace and reading a good book. She closed her eyes and tried to imagine it all in front of her. Heaven.

............

Hermione, Ron and Harry was walking into the The Three Broomsticks. As they were walking in, Ron bumped his shoulder into Malfoy. "Respect your superior, weaselbee!" Draco spat. Ron laughed it off. "Listed when I speak to you!" Draco commanded. Harry on Hermione only exchanged glances. "Weasley, you make me want to puke. God, Granger, how do you manage to be with that idiot."

Wait. So now, Draco thought she was better than Ron was. Even though she was a mudblod?

Hermione hadn't seen Draco since the day in the great hall. He looked better, or at least more like the normal Malfoy. The git Malfoy that she had known for 6 years now.

"Ehhhmm...well I... I, Ehm." Hermione was speechless. For the first time in her entire pathetic existence. To be completely honest, she didn't know why she was with Ron. He was a great friend, but he was too much for her, and at the same time, he was too little. Ron was a bit too unintelligent for her taste. Her preference would be someone with more class and a well working brain. Hopefully someone poetic too.

"That does not sound so good. If I was you, Weasley, I would give some effort, because it doesn't seem like your girlfriend particularly likes you." Draco's familiar smirk grew wider.

Ron's face was boiling red, and his fist was tightening. He looked like he was going to kill the person standing in front of him. Hermione did the only think she could think of. To keep everyone from getting hurt.

She leaned in to Ron and kissed him. Not gently or anything. It was complete make out session. When she leaned back, everyone was speechless. Hermione didn't always need to speak to make a statement. This time she used a kiss.

(Draco's POV)

Draco felt his heart break into a million pieces. Ron and Hermione was a couple, and he knew that. He just hadn't imagined that it could ever affect him like this. God how he wanted to punch the weasel. Draco stared blankly at Hermione, who glanced back at him with a shy look.

She is a smart girl. She knows. She probably knows. Well, maybe she doesn't, you are quite good at hiding you feelings.

"Come on, Draco, we have better things to do then to talk to the Gryffindor's." The statement came from Blaise, and frankly, Draco was quite happy about it, because he couldn't stay here any longer. He needed to get away from the The Three Broomsticks as quickly as possible.
