(Hermione's POV)

Hermione was at the top of the long stairs. There, she glanced over at the tall figure leaning over the railing watching the beautiful night sky. She looked at his blonde hair shining amazingly under the moonlight.

She took a step close, making the floor creak. He turned around and she faced a very different, but scared Draco. He held out his hand, wanting her to take it. Like she did.

"Draco what is-", his finger silencing her cut her off. "Let me just hold you first. I need to hold you close".

"Draco what ...you can hold me after you tell me what is wrong."

"No love. I cannot. After tonight, you won't even to be able to look at me." He said with teary eyes.

"What...Draco...Of course I will...Always. You need to tell what is wrong right now!" She commanded.

She could feel his heart silently break. "I...I...I don't know how to tell you."

"Try with the beginning," she helped.

"Right uhm...eh...well. This winter break my father told me something." He started with his shaky and terrified voice.

"Yes?" She questioned.

"He told me that I had to join the----the-----the----death eaters." He sobbed and crashed his eyes into her curly hair. "Oh I'm so sorry love. I'm so sorry."

Hermione's (POV)

"Draco...don't don't...." She Didn't know what to say.

Her hands were drifting up his back trying to calm him. "Hold me," she said.

"What?" His eyes went wild.

"Hold me, and don't dare to let go." A soft tear drifted down her cold checks.

He wrapped his hand around her waist and dragged her so close he could possibly get her. Their hearts were beating one hundred miles a minute.

What has this world become? Why am I sitting here, in the astronomy tower crying for Draco Malfoy? Well...because...because...I think I love him...Do I?...Yes I do...No...yes...Crap.

The silent spread the room, and the only sounds made, were their quiet sobs.

"Why don't you hate me?" His cold words spread the room and filled it with a heavy air.

"I couldn't hate you, ever, and well, I care about you Draco." She said tightening her grip on him.

"I care about you Draco. That's the best you can do?!"

His sobs quitted. "I care about you to. Maybe a little bit too much. More than you could ever imagine."

She smiled into his chest, hoping for a better life I the feature. The life he had described to her in the room of requirements.

(Draco's POV)

Just tell her Draco. Tell her you love her.

"But still...How can you ever trust me now?" He needed to know every single reason for her to be with him, because he knew all too well that she deserved someone better than him.

"Draco let me tell you something." She started looking up at him. Her eyes were shining way to pretty for her own good.

"You remember when you showed me your patronus?" she breathed, "do you know that a death eater cant produce one...?"

They cant?

"That must be a mistake. I still know how to make one." His voice was very confused.

"Exactly. You may carry the dark mark Draco, but you are no death eater." She smiled at him knowing he got the point.

How do I deserve you Hermione?

He smiled back, wanting to hug her so bad.

"You know what Hermione? Then you are the good part of me, because as you already know, you were my source of inspiration for the patronus." He could see her grin grow wider.

"I lo-". He started.

"No Draco. Not right now, not like this. I still need to think about this". She said with a slightly disappointed smile.

"Think about, this? This what?" He was loosening his grip on her. In addition, his breath quickened again. He had never been more terrified of losing her ever.

She thought through his question for a few seconds until she simply answered. "Us."

He could feel his heart drop and wanting nothing more than to just jump from the tower right here, right now.

His voice was shacking uncontrollable and his words were coming out as small sobs "But Hermione, you said that-"

"No," she cut him off. "I believe that you are a good man Draco, but I don't know if I can accept this. Although, I can't deny that I really, really want to." Her last sentence came out like a creak. Water was running down her perfectly pink cheeks. "Because...You make me feel like I'm...I'm...Like I'm alive, and I haven't felt alive for quite some time. But Draco, This is not right."

With that, she ran down the stairs leaving a teary, wrecked Draco alone, wanting to die.
