Beach Days [JaeSeong]

Chapter Two

I'm waiting anxiously for Inseong. My mind is going to weird places making me doubt he'll show up. Why would he? He probably was just pitting me when he said those nice things. There's no reason for him to... OMG it's him, act cool.
- Hi Jaeyoonie! Did I make you wait?
- No, hyung. I just got here. - Yeah, like half an hour ago.
- What are we doing today?
- If you don't mind I'd like to take you for a walk.
- A walk to where?
- That's a surprise. - I smile at him and he smiles cutely before replying.
- Ok, let's just go then.

You see, it's not like I thought too much about it or lost sleep deciding where I should take him. This was just a great option and I knew he wouldn't mind walking. I'm not trying to impress him or anything.

After an hour of walking we reach our destination. The highest point on town. You can see everything from here. The sea, the houses, the school, the church...
- Do you like it? - I ask Inseong.
- It's beautiful. Thanks for bringing me here. I love it.
- I'm glad you like it. - I smile and walk away with a stupid smile that won't leave my face. I sit on a place where I can see the sea.
- What's with you and the ocean? - Inseong asks me.
- Am I just that obvious?
- Yes. - he giggles and sits next to me.
- Well... First of all, I love how you can feel it with all your senses. You see it, you listen to the waves, you can smell and taste the saltiness in the air, and you feel that particular sea breeze on your body. But it's so much more. The ocean is so big, there's so many places across the sea, and we know nothing about it. We know only 5% of our own oceans. I keep wondering what kind of secrets they hide. - I finally look at Inseong and realize he's been staring at me while I was speaking.
- You're so passionate about this, Yoonie. Maybe you should work with this after you graduate. - I give him my best smile and reply:
- Maybe I should.

We talk about a lot of personal things. I discover he's an only child, loves music, dogs, the color blue and used to participate in singing competitions. I ask him to sing to me but he gets shy (how adorable).

We watch the sunset together, then I walk him home.
- I had a great time today.
- Me too, hyung.
- Can I have your number?
- Ahn.. My.. Yes! Sure! - He gives me his phone so I can type my number and I watch him save it as "Jaeyoonie 💙".
- Will you text me to say when you can see me again, hyung?
- Yes, of course.
- Ok. Bye.
