Thirty Eight

(Jaeyoon's pov)

I didn't expect to get a message from Inseong on that same night. After he left I talked to my parents for a while. My dad had a lot of questions and my mom was really curious about what we did while they were gone. I tried to answer everything without blushing too much but it didn't work that well.
After dinner I got a message from Inseong with words that made my heart stop.

'My father is gone.'

I stare at the small screen of my phone with a confused look. I had a lot of questions but I reply with:

'What do u mean?'

'My omma told him to go away.'

'And he simply agreed?'

'No. But she discovered that he had a mistress for over two years and all the times he said he was working late or had a meeting on weekends he was meeting her.'

'Do u want me to call u so we can talk about it?'

'Not really. I don't feel like talking, I just wanna be quiet.'

'Ok.. Did she tell u how she discovered it?'

'She followed him while I was at your place yesterday. They talked about it today. She demanded that he gave her this house and sent all of our stuff that it's on our old house to here.'

'Did he agree? How's your mom btw?'

'Yes, he did. But they fought a lot about it. Omma is very quiet but she's handling it well.'

'Are you ok?'

'I don't know. I mean, I hated him for locking me inside the house but to know that he lied about something like this for over 2 years it's a bit harsh. I feel betrayed. I feel like he's not my appa. I don't have a father anymore. It feels like he's dead.'

'So, you're staying here with your mom?'

'I am :) '

'That's great! At least I can visit whenever I want now'

'I know, that's really a good part.'

'I love you, ok?'

'I love you too, baby.'
