Thirty Six

We cuddled in bed for a couple of hours before my mom called us for lunch. Inseong seems really scared to meet my dad. I hold his hand and we walk downstairs. My parents are already there, my dad hugging my mom while she laughs at something he said.
- Hello, love birds.
- Hey, son! Who's that with you?
- Appa, this is my boyfriend, Inseong.
My dad freezes for a second. Then he looks at my mom, she has a big smirk on her face, and blinks a few times before looking back at us.
- Uh... I... Nice to meet you, Inseong. Inseong bows to him without saying a word, never letting go of my hand.
- Let's eat! - my mom exclaims excitedly.

- So, Jaeyoon... How long have you two been together? Why I'm hearing about this just know?
- We met a few weeks ago and things just got serious yesterday, actually.
- Yesterday? While we were out?
My face burns when I realize what I just said. Now they know that Inseong spent the night here. Oh god.
- I bet your mother already knew about you two.
- Well, I didn't knew things got this serious! I was as surprised as you with the word 'boyfriend'!
- I highly doubt that, sweetie.
My mom laughs at my dad's behavior. We talk a little bit more while we eat, my parents asking Inseong a lot of questions but, thankfully, none that he doesn't know how to answer. Inseong seems to relax a bit after a few minutes in the talk. My parents are very polite to him and I'm very glad that they're liking each other.
