My dad seems serious.
- Is everything ok, dad?
- Yes, I just have news for you.
- What is it?
- You know how I had a meeting on our town today, right?
I hum in response so he continues.
- Well, I went to our house to get some papers and I got our mail as well. This is for you. I'm sorry I already opened it.
I stare at the letter he gave me.
I look at him and he's smiling nonstop.
I open it.
It's from the university.
The one my dad wants me to go.
This fancy gigantic law university that's really really far from home.

I got in. The semester starts next month.
