Day 1
It was just a simple Saturday for me. The fall weather was seeping in as I stepped out onto my balcony. I looked at the Atlanta skyline. The lights at night were beautiful. I turned on my phone and plugged it up to my Beats Pill. I played some Beyoncé'. I hummed to the harmony of Superpower. The cool fall wind started to come. I started to gain goose bumps as it went by. I was wearing my nice fall dress I got from a boutique right down the street from my apartment building.
This week was a slow week.
I stared at the city. The lights. The buildings. And of course, the atmosphere. Atlanta was where I was born and raised. Me and mother both grew up here. As for my father, he grew up back in Florida but soon moved to Atlanta at the age of six. As he grew up, his father was a drug dealer. They would always be moving. Until one day, his father was gunned down by the police due to a drug bust. As for my father, he never wanted to be like him...
As for the moment... Soon he changed.
My father was an abusive husband and father. He treated us like we was a piece of shit. Nothing but just a baby momma and a daughter who just came out of wedlock. He always gave us what we wanted, but after a night of getting drunk or whatever, he was the devil in our own house. My mom was a social worker. Raising one child on her own. My father, on the other hand, was a drug lord. He married my mother. But he never loved her. But soon one day he did.
That day was the day he was about to go to jail for a brutal murder. He was telling us his colleagues was going to watch us. My mother, on the other hand, didn't listen. She told him this, "Don't ever talk to me. You never loved me. You have a baby momma and a daughter that you treated like we was just some piece of trash. And for you my dear man, you will never be in my heart. EVER." That was the day I remembered at his trail. I was ten. About five years later, my father died in the jail hospital. He died due to a drug overdose. As for his money, The court gave it to us, and my grandmother. My grandmother loves us truly. She was there when my dad wasn't there for us.
In high school, I was more of a bookworm. I had a boyfriend at 18. Eventually both of us was virgins and we lost it together. Yeah my mother was a little upset because she's a Christian after my dad left this earth. But she forgave me.
In college, I was the top in my class. The best all around. My body was weird for me. My hips spread nicely. I had an hourglass figure. A perfect one at that. Guys all around wanted a piece of me. I met a football player. His name was John. Me and him talked for a while and even dated until he almost got me settled out by his team mates. Lucky in my favor, I took self defense classes. I was a good fighter at that. When the problem got out, action was taken quickly. Everybody was talking about it. As for trail, the football players were sent to jail for two years. I was happy and when I graduated law school, I came on top.
Today, I'm twenty-six years old and still single. I was weary dating men. And I was damned if I would date a woman. Women these days too bitchy for me. But I'm straight as all I know.
"DING-DONG!" I turned around to see Jamarcus, Chyna, and Dev standing there. "Heyyyyyy. Girl you need to get out in the nightlife!"
Oh Jesus.
"I told y'all I really was trying to get rest this week. Maybe this weekend?" They all stared at me like I was a retard. "Helllllll no. Bitch you bout to go with us. Weather you like it or not." I smiled. I love Jamarcus but some days he be a bit too pushy. "Damn fine then." I walked past them into my room where they came in at. I grabbed my wedges and headed to the bathroom. I looked at my body. Still the same hourglass figure but filled out more. My chest area was big and my but was semi big. My weight distributed in the right place instead of my stomach. I don't like wearing those tight looking dresses that make your stomach come out. I opened my makeup drawer and put on some light makeup. After I left the bathroom I grabbed my jacket and headed to my living room.
