"You'll be discharged in the morning. " The doctor said.He scribbled on his notepad and continued examining her. "You don't have any serious injuries but you do have low iron." He said. "We'll have more information when you discharged. Take it easy Ms. Jackson." He soon left. After the explosion, we rushed Felisa to the hospital. As she ran into my arms she fainted. "I feel light headed." She said. I was sitting beside her in a chair. "Oh dear, I hope you're doing ok." I looked over at Dev. She looked like a nervous wreck. Her hair was everywhere. She was rocking back and forth with blood shot eyes. Jerry sat beside her and comforted her.

"Jesus how can something like this happen." I thought. I then looked over at Jamarcus. He sat calm. His leg was slightly shaking. His body language showed he was calm but concerned. He looked over at his best friend then looked at me. I quickly looked away. It was bad enough that I'm a drug dealer but I don't want to look like a bad ass boyfriend either.

"Where is my child?!?" The soft voice blew through the hallway. "Oh lord that's-" "MOM!" Felisa body turned towards the door. I looked over to see a young looking woman walking in. She was wearing a formal outfit. She was also a bit short and stubby. The color of her skin was a mocha color. She walked in looking around. "Hey there loves." She spoke. It was obvious she knew Dev and Jamarcus. Her greeting was like an everyday one. She soon looked over at me and Jerry. She gave us an confused glare. "And you two are?" Jerry stood up and introduce himself. "I'm Jerry Cardonus and this is Dominic Murdoch; my longtime friend." She looked at Jerry up and down and then looked over at me.  I got up quickly to shake her hand.  "I'm also Felisa's boyfriend." She widened her eyes. The fact that those words slipped out. I started to feel myself turn red. She soon gave me a warming smile. Seeing the smile gave me relief. "Nice to meet you." Felisa groaned. "Mom don't go crazy today. I'm doing fine." She cut her eyes at her. "If you was doing fine you wouldn't be in the hospital." She said with a feisty tone. Her mother seemed like a sweetheart. But do the slightest slick or malicious thing she gets hella feisty. "I'm over here worried sick and come to find out that my child is in the hospital. How did this all happen?"

Felisa eyes cut to me. Her deep brown eyes questioned me. I exactly knew. She had gotten the same letter I did. But one thing I noticed; the hand writing. It was clear and neat. Every word was clearly seen and it looked like it was written carefully.

"I'm waiting for an answer." Her mother said with a serious tone. Her mother turned towards me. "As her boyfriend do you know what happened? You are here to protect and love my daughter so you should know." I started to feel nervous. Her mother was questioning me like she was an FBI agent. Her hazel eyes stared at me. I could feel myself turning red again . I didn't want to tell her it happen to me also. The lady will be questioning me ninety going north. "We all are trying to figure out what happen. I have some friends who are agents and some who are policemen. I-" "I want to know N-O-W...NOW!" I cringed at the sound of Felisa mother yelling. Jerry was trying to help. I looked over at Jerry. He kept a clam and straight face. Jerry was always the type who was blunt and tried not to be extra real with a person. Both him and I knew that when a person yells at him he tries not to go off. "Ms. Jackson... Please stay calm. We'll figure this out." He assured his words to her. She turned around back to her child. "Well... I'm going home to rest. It's so much to take in right now." Felisa looked at her mother. "I'll be discharged in the morning mom." She walked to her bedside. She then touched her forehead. "Oh thank god. I;m glad nothing serious happen to you. I'll be back up here tomorrow." She kissed her cheek. Heading towards the door she then turned to me.  "May I speak to you outside Dominic? It's private." I nodded my head and walked out into the hall.

"Be for real Dominic... Has the same thing happen to you? Don't lie." I felt like the room was closing down on me. I couldn't lie to her. Her beady eyes looked up at me. I sighed. "Okay...Yes it did happen to me. But before you-" "I understand. Dominic it's something about you that I know well. I don't know what it is but I'll just have to let it go."  I felt my heart beat fast. I knew the vibe she was getting from me. I knew she was getting the vibe that I sell drugs. I deeply knew it.  "Son, I got a question." I nodded my head. "Is my daughter the one for you?" The words echoed in my head. It wasn't a hard question; but it was hard to explain the love I have for her. "Yes she is. She's like the type of woman I always wanted in my life. Hardworking, ambitious, caring, and even silly at times. She sparked my interest at the time we first met.  I know it wasn't too long ago, but it keeps me smiling." I showed her a general smile. The thought of her just made me grow. She was a woman. Not a girl or young lady, but a successful woman.
