After Henry's funeral most of the guests stayed back chatting, exchanging stories and eating. Henry's wife, Sarah was utterly devastated and sat on a couch weeping quietly, her son tried his best to keep things moving. He went outside to get a breathe from the depressing atmosphere, when he went back though he couldn't find his mother. Scared she might do something stupid, considering the state she was in, he rushed to her room. As he went to knock he heard voices, his mom's and another woman's.

" don't lie to me!!! You have to know something!!" Sarah yelled.

" I told you Sarah, I know nothing " said the other woman.

" no! It was near your house wasn't it! And Henry, he was so disturbed ever since you took in Rachel's child! " said Sarah.

" what?! What does she have anything to do with this??" Said the other woman, clearly losing her composure.

" liar!! Something was wrong! Stop lying " Sarah screamed.

And then he heard something crash, he opened the door immediately and found his mom next to a broke vase, and the woman, standing in a corner shocked.

" Erik..... " his mom called out.

" MOM! Are you ok??" He asked rushing over to her side.

His mom smiled, acting as if nothing had occurred.

" take care of your mother " The women said before leaving abruptly.

"Mom... What is going on ? " he asked his mom

Sarah stared at him, with tear filled eyes, " I....I..... " she said stuttering ,backing away from him. And collapsed, her side hit bits of the broken vase but Erik caught her before her head hit the floor.

It had been two weeks since Sarah had been admitted in the hospital. She had .. To put it simply gone insane. She had been flowing in and out of consciousness and kept asking for Henry , much to Erik's dismay. He stayed with her all the time trying his best to get her senses. His grandad made a big fuss over him missing school and sent him off. " it will help you take your mind off of things" he said, but so much for that, all Erik could think of was the worst case scenarios. Siting in chemistry class, he let his mind wander. "Who exactly was that lady?" He wondered.

Just then a teacher entered the class and after having a word with their chemistry teacher announced " is there a Erik Martinez here?" He asked

Erik got up, hoping his fears were not true. He made his way to the teacher who informed that his mother was in critical condition and that his grandfather had come to take him to the hospital. Erik panicked , he had to leave .... Now! He burst out of the room in full speed. He raced downstairs and on the way bumped into a girl carrying a pile of books. She dropped the books and fell down, but Erik didn't have time to care.

" watch where your going! " he said gritting his teeth, and continued on his way.

" Excuse me???!! watch where I am going?? you're the one that bumped into me!!" The girl yelled.

" if I were you I'd start picking up those books instead of sprouting nonsense" Erik said before turning the corner.

He rushed out and found his grandad waiting for him. He had a word with the principal and then they were off. Erik sat anxiously in the car , while his grandad explained the situation to him. It wasn't easy for his grandad either to see his only daughter go insane. They reached the hospital, went to her room and found Sarah fast asleep. His grandma sat next to her with a handkerchief wet from tears. Sarah had hit a nurse in the head with a lamp!! it took 3 men to calm her down. Erik sat down next to his sleeping mother. She looked so peaceful asleep, her hair was a huge mess, if she had been normal she would have made such a big fuss over her hair.

" Erik, the inspector investigating your father's case was here a while ago. He wanted to talk to you " his grandmother said slowly

Erik nodded, took his phone and dialed Edwin Starr's number.

Starr had given him some disturbing information, on the possible reason for his Henry's murder. He also gave him a few details like were exactly the murder occurred and who found him. A couple of days later, Erik went to the lake were his father was murdered. Even standing there sent a shiver down his spine. Why would hid dad come to a place like this? he thought. He rarely comes to town and when he does he always informs Erik . He started walking back slowly. It had been 2 years since his father started living alone. His mom was never happy with the idea, but his death hit her extremely hard. Suddenly it started pouring down.

" what a wonderful time for it to rain !!!" Erik said running.

On his way back he saw a broken fence, " there needs to be a house there" he thought and went over the fence. He was right , outside the house though , he could see someone standing under a umbrella . As he got closer he saw a girl around his age and another girl who looked around 8. They noticed him and the small kid took a tiny umbrella and ran towards him.

" who are you ?" She asked over the sound of the rain.

Before Erik could answer though the other girl came and shared her umbrella, she looked fairly familiar though Erik could not pin point who she was.

" can I stay here till the rain stops ?" He asked

" yeah sure" the girl said and the three made their way to the house.

As soon as they entered Erik looked around and noticed a man sleeping on the couch. A boy came over and asked," do I know you?"

Erik let out his hand," Erik Martinez " he said.

" oh !! You're the swim team captain aren't you?" The boy said shaking his hand.

" um.. Ya that's me" Erik replied.

" Leo Theodore " Leo said introducing himself.

" and I'm Nicole and this is Candace " said the girl.

Erik was stunned, these were the kids who found his dad's body !!

" you're soaking wet, I can get you some dry clothes " offered Leo.

Erik hesitantly accepted, after he changedthough, he wanted answers.

" what were you doing in the woods ?" Nicole asked.

" I should be the one asking questions here " he said to which Nicole raised an eyebrow.

" you are the ones who found the body of Henry , aren't you?" He asked , Nicole and Leo exchanged glances and quickly got up, Candace was too busy watching tv to notice them go . They went to the dining table and sat down.

" yes we are , but why are you interested it that?" Nicole asked.

" because he is my father" Erik replied. Nicole and Leo looked shocked .

" we told everything we knew to the police " Leo said.

" no, I want to know if you found anything there. " Erik said.

" what do you mean by found anything?" Leo asked.

" my dad was killed for something he had , did you both find anything ?" Erik asked.

Nicole started to answer but was interrupted by the sound of the door opening. Erik sat shocked as the woman his mom fought with walked in.

" MOM!! Did you get me the chocolates " Candace yelled running towards her. Minerva stood more surprised than shocked to see Erik ............
