Chapter 19

A few days later...

Riker POV

Things had been going well with Jeff. Things had also been going pretty well with me and Mikayla. Except my stomach always seemed to hate me when we had dates. And I wasn't sure why. Maybe nerves. But... I don't really know.

We were having a dinner and movie night together at my house tonight. And all of my siblings would be joining in on the movie.

"Riker."

I looked over at Jeff.

"What?"

"Are you still going to help me up and down the stairs when Mikayla's here?"

"Yeah, of course."

"When's she coming?"

"About 30 minutes."

"Ok."

"Why?"

"I'm hungry."

"Good. You seem to be gaining some weight, and actually having an appetite."

"You think so?"

"Yeah. I can tell when I pick you up to go up and down the stairs that you're a little heavier. You're still ridiculously light. But you're slowly gaining weight. Hold on. We need to do a wrist check."

A wrist check was when I checked him for cuts. No cuts so far. He's doing really good, and I'm proud of him.

"Alright, good. And your old cuts are healing pretty well."

"Well I'm trying my hardest not to cut."

"Do you still want to?"

"Yeah..."

"Why?"

"Because... I don't know, but I do!"

I sighed.

"Alright, well just keep not doing it."

"I'm trying, Riker."

Later...

Riker POV

It was honestly the strangest thing. Every date, my stomach would hurt really bad. I'm guessing it's nerves, but I don't feel too nervous...

But anyways, our dinner had gone well. A few of my siblings were making some popcorn now, and getting ready for the movie.

"Hey. So if you want, you can go wait in the living room for the movie. I just have to run to the bathroom. My stomach is killing me," I said, blushing slightly.

"Alright. You should try taking something to feel better, Riker."

"Yeah... Maybe I'll look for something..."

Mikayla kissed my cheek, and then I ran upstairs to the bathroom.

Jeff POV

Rocky and I were outside in the driveway. He wanted to show me some skateboard trick he learned. I was standing there on crutches, watching him.

"Hey, when do you get off crutches?" Rocky asked.

"I don't know... The doctor said I can be off when my ankle feels better."

"How does it feel?"

"I don't know... I haven't walked on it. Riker just carries me everywhere."

"Try walking on it."

Rocky came over to me, probably to help me if I fell.

I dropped my crutches, and stood on both feet.

"How does it feel?"

"Fine, actually."

"Try walking."

I took a few steps. But it honestly felt fine.

"It doesn't hurt. Well... it hurts a tiny bit, but I can walk on it."

"Cool! Oh hey. We should probably head inside for the movie."

"Oh right..."

We went inside to the living room.

"Hey. Can I talk to you before the movie starts?" Mikayla asked.

"Uh... Sure."

I followed her into the hall.

Riker POV

Well that was literally the quickest I've ever gone to the bathroom in my whole life. I took something for my stomach, and then fixed my hair a little in the mirror.

Time for the movie. Hopefully I made it in time.

I walked downstairs to the living room, but I didn't see Mikayla.

"Guys, where's Mikayla?" I asked.

"Talking to Riker in the hall."

"Guys, I'm Riker."

Everyone just sort of looked confused.

I walked out, and walked into the hall. And then froze.

Mikayla and Jeff were making out.

"WHAT THE HELL!?" I shouted.

They pulled apart. Jeff looked scared, but Mikayla just looked confused.

"What's the problem?" Mikayla asked.

"Why are you kissing him!? I'm your boyfriend! I'm Riker!"

"Wait. You have a twin!?"

"Yeah!"

"Well maybe you should've mentioned that before."

"I didn't know you were going to mix us up and kiss him!"

"Riker, I'm sorry. I didn't know you had a twin. When a guy that looks like your boyfriend walks into a room, I just assumed it was you!"

"Whatever. Just go home. Movie night's off. I'll call you later," I said, as Mikayla walked past me.

I slowly walked forward. Jeff kept taking steps backwards until he'd hit the wall at the end of the hallway. I kept walking forward until I was inches from his face. I put my hands up on the wall, pretty close to Jeff's head.

"Why the hell would you let her do that, and not say anything?" I growled.

"R-Riker, I-I-"

"You what? You were jealous of my girlfriend, and thought you could take advantage of the situation!? You thought it was ok to pretend to be me, and have a little secret make out session with my girlfriend!?"

"R-Riker, it's n-not like t-that!"

"Oh yeah, sure it's not! I know what I saw, Jeff. You weren't trying to push her away or tell her, hey! I'm not Riker!"

"R-Riker, it h-happened s-so fast, I-I-"

"So fast that what? You still could've pulled away. She didn't have you pinned against the wall or anything."

"R-Riker, I'm s-sorry!"

"Yeah, well sorry's not good enough! You pretended to be me, and made out with Mikayla! You practically ruined my relationship with her! I've liked her for years, Jeff! Years! And now because of you, I don't know if I'll ever go out on another date with her. You ruined everything!"

Jeff slid down to the floor. I just glared at him, and then stormed out of the house. I started walking down the street. I just can't be at home right now...
