you were walking down the streets, humming a simple melody to yourself as you looked over the homework you had. 'maybe i can get donnie to help me with my science homework.' you thought as you took a turn. You looked up, realizing you took a wrong turn, and tried to go back. You were grabbed from behind. When you went to go scream a hand covered you mouth and two words where whispered into your ear.
"miss me?" You elbowed donnie in the plaston.
"donnie!! dont do that!"
"ok, ok im sorry!" he said laughing. Donnie was your best friend but you liked him, a little if not alot, more than that, but he was dating april. You do your usual and grin and bare it. He was happy so you were happy. Suddenly he frowned.
"donnie what wrong?"
"lets go for a walk." he picked you up bridal style and carried you up to the roofs. You noticed a certain look in his eyes, an upset one, as he set you down. "(y/n)..."
"yeah?"
"yes donnie?"
"i... i found your diary..." your eyes went wide. "i know you like me but... i don't feel the same..." you didn't say anything as you ran, tears streaming down your face. "no, (y/n) wait!" you ran faster. you tripped over something and fell...
~time skip~
You woke up to yelling, a guy and a girl. You felt sore and upset. It was donnie and april. Donnie's voice was a jumble of words, april's was a smaller jumble, some words clear, some not so much. They were saying some things about you. finally you hear loud and clear.
"get out april!" both voices silenced and a door slammed. You opened your eyes more and tried to sit up, you felt light headed. Donnie looked at you. "(y/n)! your awake!" you looked away from him. "please look at me..." you didn't. He sighed and sat in front of you. "look, im sorry, i should have explained better."
"what do you mean?"
"i like you more than that, but april told me i didn't have a chance." you look at him shocked.
"y-you do?" He nodded. You smiled at him and hugged him, your back screaming in protest. "what even happened?" he looked down.
"i ran after you when you started running away from me and i saw you trip over the ledge. You fell before i could catch you. Your lucky to be alive." You just kissed him in reply.
