Chapter 36

Michael's POV

"I... can't. I'm so sorry Michael. I tried but I can't. I'm so sorry." Val's gets up off the floor and runs out of the room. I sit on my bed full of shame. I almost made her cheat on Calum. What kind of a friend/band mate am I!?

"Stupid! Stupid! STUPID!" I hear a smash. The nightstand beside my bed breaks. Well shit. Now I need to get a new night stand.

Val's POV

I ran. Ran right to Calum's room. Tears streaming down my face. Michael almost kissed me. Michael... almost... kissed... me...

I open the door and jump into bed with Calum, crying.

"Val? Babe are you okay?" Calum says, waking up in a panic.

"No.. I'm not okay." I say, crying harder into Calum's chest.

"What happened? Please tell me." He says stroking my hair, attempting to calm me down a little, without using his power.

"Michael... H-he almost k-kissed me..." I say sobbing. I feel Calum stiffen under me. He starts to get up.

"Where are you going?" I ask him, whipping the tears from my eyes.

"I'll be right back. You stay here and sleep. Here," He says hanging me his sweater he was wearing. "Wear this." I take it from him and put it on and snuggle into it and close my eyes.

Calum's POV

He almost kissed my girlfriend. Michael. I'm going to kick his sorry ass! I get infront of Michael's room and pound on the door.

"Michael! I'm gonna kill ypu when I get my hands on you!! Open up now!!" I yell. The door opens, slightly.

I barge into the room. Michael was siting on his bed looking out the window. The feeling of guilt and sadness wash over me. It's coming off of Michael.

"I'm sorry Cal. I-i just... I don't know. I really like her." He says, still not looking at me. I know he's being sincere because I can feel it.

"You almost kissed my girlfriend! You better be sorry. She came to my room in tears." I say pointing towards my room.

"I know and I'm sorry Calum. I didn't mean to..." He says to me, a tear streams down his cheek.

"Just stay away from her okay. She's mine." I say, anger washing over me.

Michael just stays silent and I walk out, calming down as I enter my room to see Val sitting on my bed, playing my bass. She looks so calm. So gentle.

"I can feel you staring." She says. I whip the back of my neck.

"You look so peaceful. I didn't want to bother you." I say walking towards my bed. I sit down beside her.

"You never bother me. I love being with you." She says to me. I look at her and I see a beautiful girl, talented and loving.

"Val. I want to tell you something. Well sing you something." I say to her.

"Okay." She says, looking confused.

"I'll be right back." I say and get up and I'm out the door.

"Luke. Can I borrow your guitar for a second?" I ask Luke once I get to his room.

"Sure mate." He says hanging it to me.

"Thanks I'll bring it right back." I say and run towards my room again.

I sit down on the bed and look at Val. She looks at me.

"Okay. Here it goes." I say.

I finish and tears are almost in her eyes.

"I don't wanna waste anymore time. Val. I love you." I say to her.

Her eyes go wide. She looks so shocked. I wait for her to say something.
