Tomika Diary Entry
Today is the 7th of August and some new families are coming to see me and maybe will want to adopt me. I'm very nervous because this is my only chance otherwise I'm stuck in the system. Freddie says I'll be fine but I think they may not want me i mean I'm damaged goods I'm not perfect and I'm certainly won't trust them straight away and the best part is after I finally get out of here they live real close to summer and I still can go to William Travis B prep school so I can still jam out with the band and Freddie. The nurse says I can go see my mum and sister every Friday for as long as I want as long as Freddie or summer comes with me because I'm not actually crazy so they let do more things. This therapist is actually helping I meet up with her twice a week and she just makes me feel better and she reckons I like to visit my mum and sister so much because it's how I cope when my life gets tough and let's be honest my life has never be easy. Anyway got to go the new family are here. P.s I forgot to say the therapist asked me to keep a diary of all my feelings so here it is bye

I'm sat in my bed in my room playing my bass quietly and the foster family walk in.
FF: Hi Tomika
T: Hi
B: you like the base hey
T: yeah I play in my schools band and I love it we rock out all the time
B: that's great you know I used to rock out when I was your age
T: really
B: yeah it was awesome
T: Would you be able to teach me more tricks
B: yeah I used to play bass and I could play drums
T: my friend Freddie plays the drums and my friend Zack plays the electric guitar and my friend Lawrence plays the piano and my best friend summer is our band manager and plays the Tamborine I also sing
B: that's great and I hear your a straight A student
T: yeah
C: Tomika might I ask are you ok
T: yeah I'm fine I just don't want to talk about it cause I'm sure you've read my file and know everything about me and how I'm a waste of time and not worth looking at. *crying*
C,B: hey hey it's not what we are saying at all we really like you so far but we want to know what you think of us.
C: have you got any questions
T: yeah if I live with you can I visit my mum and sisters grave whenever I want?
B: sure you can we won't stop you from doing that.
C: any other questions
T: if you chose to adopt me now will you visit me in the hospital and meet my friends cause they would really like to meet you and play for you.
FF: of course
T: finally will I have to call you mum and dad cause that just hits to close to home a bit much.
C: no you don't have to until your ready in fact you don't have to do anything until, your ready and you can call use Chloe and Ben.
T: thank you you are really nice and I would love to get adopted by you.
FF: well........ That's good news because we've decided we want to adopt you today.
T: really!!!!!!!!!!
FF: yes we will go,fill out the papers now and talk to the nurse about visiting you
T: no way I finally get a new chance at life.
