"See ya."

I watched helplessly as Alex slipped out of her seatbelt and the car in record time. She walked away from the parking lot quickly, almost running, as if hell hounds are after her.

I sighed as I myself exited the car. It's been weeks now since I discovered about her and her 'bestfriend' Charlie. I could tell she doesn't want to talk to me about it. She's been dodging my presence ever since. Whenever she rides with me to school, she'll plug earphones on the entire twenty minute drive and won't talk or even look at me.

I can't remember a time we didn't talk to each other for this long.

I have been blaming Charlie's unnecessary existence in our lives. I don't mind my sister's preference for her intimate relationships but why does it have to be her?

I mean she's obnoxious, rude, and trashy and it doesn't help that I keep replaying her sexy walk scene in my head since that night, dammit.

"Hey, Nick."

My friend and soccer teammate, Jake, ran towards me from his own car. He slung an arm around my shoulder when he reached me. He frowned at my face.

"What the fuck, man? What's wrong with you? You look terrible. Didn't get enough beauty rest, pretty boy?"

I snorted.

"Sorry, didn't know you're lusting after my striking looks, Jakey." I said dryly.

I heard someone snicker behind us. Kenneth matched our strides, an amused look on his face.

"Damn, Jake. I didn't know that, too."

"Shut up, you bastard. As if we didn't fuck before. You loved that whip of mine, Mitchell." Jake cackled at Kenneth's face, which had gone from amused to revolted.

I laughed.

"But seriously, Stone. What's wrong? You've been like that for a time now."

I didn't answer Jake. I can't just blurt out that the rumors surrounding Charlie Raven and my twin, Alex, is true.

Not my story to tell.

I managed to shrug at them. I kept quiet, busying myself by checking out my phone while walking out of the parking lot.

"Fine. Just make sure to get your game face on to our game next Friday. We have to win against Cornfields."

"That's actually Cornwall, moron." Kenneth corrected him.

"Same difference, asshole." Jake retorted back.

"Yea, no worries with that. I'm definitely looking forward to that, bro." I said.

Soccer is the only thing I could do straight these past weeks. I've been putting extra hours on training, trying to forestall my having to go home and have a chance to bump with Charlie making out with my sister.

"NICK!"

There was a loud screech. A motorbike stopped inches before it hit me. The burnt smell of rubber tires hung heavily in the air.

"Are you out of your fucking mind?!" I bellowed at the driver. Some students stopped and looked at us.

The driver didn't mind this though. He calmly eased his motorbike to park and swung his leg to stand by me.

Something's off with him.

He took off his helmet, and ash blonde hair cascaded out of it.

"Whoa.."
