Caitlin was sitting in her apartment staring at her bill. She couldn't help but cry because she didn't have the money to pay it off. She had no idea what to do. Then there was a knock at the door. She glanced at the clock and realized that Barry was coming over for a movie night. Crap! She didn't want him to find out. She hid the bill and opened the door.

"Hey baby, are you okay? Have you been crying?" Barry asked worriedly.

Caitlin tried to hold back her tears. Tried to keep it together but she couldn't. She simply burst into tears.

After a few minutes of crying and cuddling on the sofa, Barry finally asked what was wrong.

"My bill. I can't pay it and I'm running out of time. If I can't pay this apartment will get repossessed and I'll be homeless. I don't have anywhere to go," she explained.

"You can come live with me. I know we haven't been together long but I love you and you love me so..."

The two of them had been together for two months now and they were the happiest they'd been in a long time.

"Thank you. I don't know what I did to deserve you," Caitlin smiled, kissing him.

"You deserve the best. That's all I want to give you. Now, we have a movie to watch,"

When the credits rolled, Caitlin was sound asleep in Barry's arms making him smile with disbelief, he still couldn't believe that this beautiful, intelligent women wanted to be with him.

"I love you, Barry," Caitlin mumbled in her sleep.

"I love you too,"

A Week Later

Caitlin was unpacking her stuff and organizing it. Although she was told not to start yet, she didn't listen and unpacked anyway. It would've gone a lot quicker if her boyfriend didn't have to work so she could get some help but that's why he asked her to wait. He didn't want to leave her with all the work.

Caitlin unpacked her folded clothes and stored them away in the wardrobe. She really liked moving in with Barry, mostly because it made her feel like that maybe they had a future together. That maybe one day they'd be more than boyfriend and girlfriend. Maybe they'd be married, with children. Just together.

She was so lost in her fantasy that she almost didn't the phone ring. She answered it but wasn't sure whether she should have considering she only just moved in. 

"He's not here right now. I'm his girlfriend, can I pass on a message? Okay, I'll let him know. I'll make him call you," she then hung up the phone and sighed in contentment. She continued to unpack still smiling from just thinking about living here. The apartment already felt like home, maybe because Barry lived here. And now she did too.

A few hours later, Caitlin was busy studying for an exam she had in a couple days. It was her last year at med school and she was so close to graduating. All she had to do now is pass these exams and now she had far more time to study as she didn't waitress anymore.

"Babe, I'm home!" she heard barry's voice call out. She walked out of their room and kissed him.

"What was that for?"

"For being the best,"

An hour later they were eating dinner together. It was strange but they felt like a married couple, and they certainly looked like one.

"So how was work?" Caitlin asked.

"There was one crime scene today and it was only one block from your old apartment. I'd be worried if you still lived there,"

"Well, I live here now so there's no need to worry. Besides, I can take care of myself,"

"What did you get up to while I was gone? You didn't miss me too much,"

"Oh shush, I unpacked my stuff and did some studying. I have an exam in a couple days. Finals. Then you'll have me all to yourself,"

"I like the sound of that but I told you to wait. I wanted to help you,"

"Tough,"

"Anyway, I have a little present for you," Barry handed her her key to the apartment.

"Awww, thanks, babe. Now I can let myself into your apartment,"

"Our apartment,"

"Right, our apartment. I think we need to celebrate,"

"What exactly do you have in mind?"

"I think you know exactly what I want,"

"Maybe I don't, what do you want?"

"You,"

Leaving their empty plates on the table, they quickly moved into their bedroom and you know what happened next...
