"So, how long have you been seeing each other?" Nathan asked coldly.

"Nathen, be nice," Caitlin's mother interjected sternly, clearly she seemed happy with her daughter's chosen partner.

"If you must know, almost five months," Caitlin answered.

"So, I heard about your perfect grade. I'm very proud of you, honey. Your father would be too," Caitlin's mother commented. Alarm bells rang in Caitlin's head, and not just her's, her mother never talked about their father. Plus, she was being awfully nice.

"Thank you, mom. I scored an interview at Central City General next week,"

"Hey sis, can I talk to you for a second? Outside," Nathan requested sternly. Caitlin nodded and followed him outside the restaurant. Leaving Barry with her mom.

"I'm glad, Caity's found herself, someone,"

"I really love her, Mrs Snow,"

"Please call me Heather,"

Meanwhile, outside...

"Look, mom's been on anti-depressants, I didn't tell you because I knew you were stressed with med school but I kinda need to warn you," Nathan confessed.

"Seriously! That's no excuse, she's my mom too!"

"If it ,makes you feel better, I approve your boyfriend," Nathan replied trying to calm her.

"No, it doesn't make a difference! Your opinion doesn't matter to me but it does to him, which is why I love him and that should be enough for your approval! You should've told me as soon as they were prescribed!"

After seeing the siblings argue, Barry went outside to find out what was going on.

"He's been lying to me! Mom's been on anti-depressants for months and he only tells me now!" Caitlin explained angrily, hoping for some support and a hug which he gave immediately.

"Can we go? I just wanna go home," Caitlin whispered.

"Sure,"

After saying goodbye to Heather, the couple went home. The night could've gone better but at least her family approved...

"This is why I didn't want to see them," Caitlin commented.

"Your mother's really nice!"

"Reminds me of when we were a proper family, when my dad was alive..." she trailed off slightly and then felt a hand on her's. "I love you, so so much,"

"I love you too,"

Quickly, they kissed and moved to the bedroom. You know what happened next...
