Dreaming of Wonderland

The little girl with the shining brown eyes
Wanted to make the world as wonderful as the skies
She dreamt of wonderland
But woke in waste land
She wondered and pondered if people really were made of pure stardust
Didn't seem so, for they couldn't care less of love, only obsessed with lust
They destroyed their home planet with smothering gases
Shattered souls without a care about the tears on their lashes.
Demand people to squeeze into the tightest dress
And don't care when their brains are being conquered by stress
Hurrying to the next place
Like life is a big race
Sprinting to touch the finish line first. When really the person that comes last
Was the one to win. The one who took her time and abandoned the term: fast.
The little girl with the shining brown eyes
Wanted to share her shine and compromise
With all the other ones with the dull eyes like she once had
She wanted to make the world pure and glad
The little girl with the shining brown eyes
Wanted to make the world as wonderful as the skies
She lived in waste land
And searched for wonderland
