Gaara's Move!

The next day, I went to school for the second day. I sat on my table beside Gaara.
"Hey," a voice said.
Wait? Was that Gaara? What do I do?
"Oh, uh, hey, umm...you're name's Gaara right?" I said nervously.
He leaned closer to my ear and said, "Do you fear me?"
I blushed, I don't know why! But I took a deep breath.
"Of course not, why would I fear someone whom I never met before, I was taught not to judge someone unless I truly know them," I said while my heartbeat is getting louder in my ears.
Naruto suddenly approached me and said, "Hey! Your cheeks are so red and you're sweating!"
Oh no! Naruto, why?? I have to react quickly!
"Is that so? It must be the hot atmosphere in the room that's causing me this." I replied.
Then, Kurenai and Asuma Sensei came from the door and said, "So today, we will be discussing about the class ranks." Asuma said.
"As you know, every term your personal rank and class rank will change depending on how well you do in the Academy." Kurenai continued. "The past class leaders was Gaara and Temari-"
Giggling from the girls started when they heard Gaara's name.
"Silence!" Kurenai-sensei shouted.
She cleared her throat and continued.
"This term, we're going to do another vote-"
"When are we voting?" Naruto asked.
"Please raise your hand before you speak, Naruto," Asuma said.
Everyone laughed.
"We are voting after the preliminary exams,"
The Preliminary exams? That must be what Anko Sensei was talking about.
"If you're a genin, and pass, you'll be promoted to become a Chūnin but if you're currently a Chūnin and pass, you'll move to a new class and become a Jōnin," Asuma said.
"However, if you're capable of handling at least two types of elemental chakra, proficient genjutsu, and decent taijutsu skills then whether you're Genin or Chūnin, you'll advance to a Jōnin rank."
Everyone looked at Sasuke, everyone knowing his skills at heart.
"That'll surely be Sasuke," someone whispered. Chattering around the room started.
Kurenai clapped her hands to get their attention.
"There will be one girl and one boy whom will be chosen to be part of the Student council. It will be determined by the exam."
I raised my hand and said, "What is the exam about?"
"Each student will be paired with another student; each pair will fight against each other so that we will be able to see how well your skills are," Kurenai replied.
Sakura raised her hand and said, "But what if someone fails to pass?"
"Then that person will remain here for the rest of the term, and will try again the next time." She replied.
"There will be three rounds. The winner of the first round will battle another, who won from the other pair, then the winner of the second round will battle with next, and the remaining will be the candidates for the next student council of the term,"

The bell rang, and I went to the drinking fountain as my throat was dry. A group of girls came and said, "Look, it's the new girl!"
A girl with light brown hair who seemed to be leading approached and said, "Hey, are you and Gaara dating?"
"Uh, no?" I replied.
"I saw him whispering to you, and you blushed after, what did he tell you?" She smirked.
"It's none of your business, what right do you have to know?" I replied.
"Whatever he said to you, STAY AWAY from him, he's mine!" she shouted.
"Hey, what's you're name?" I asked.
"I'm Matsuri and you better mark my words or else," she replied.
"Or else what?"
"Don't mess with me or you'll regret it!"
Gaara passed by and they gathered around him.
"Don't threaten, (y/n) or else YOU'LL get it." Gaara said.
Gaara approached, he grabbed my hand.
"Let's go," he said.
"So you guys are dating! (y/n), I'll get you for that!" Matsuri cried.
