c28: Gaara's Birthday!

[y/n] looked back seeing shiny teal eyes gazed at her, noticing how beautiful it was, [y/n]'s cheeks turned a light shade of red. With her head leaning against his chest as her arms were held at the tip of her shoulders, she quickly got up to her balance. She felt his chakra, it seems so familiar from what she felt the previous night. She looked in-front breaking the gaze seeing a blue eyed blonde completely dazed out until he got back to his senses seeing [y/n].
"Sorry, [y/n]-Chan!" Naruto apologized as he tried to get up.
Hinata quickly went to Naruto at full speed and apologized softly when she bumped into people. She let out a hand for Naruto. "Thanks, Hinata-Chan!" he exclaimed. Hinata couldn't help but blush. on the other hand, Neji quickly went to [y/n] with a worried face.
"[y/n], are you alright?" he asked as he touched her shoulders.
[y/n] couldn't help but blush every time he does that. She nodded gently and looked at Gaara with a smile. Gaara looked off and started leaving. She quickly touched his shoulder, for some reason she seemed quite attracted to his chakra, much like Neji's but a stronger force.

Gaara looked back with his lips slightly curled into a smirk. [y/n] stared for a second and quickly got back to her senses and looked off, she noticed how she was staring too much but she couldn't help it, she just seemed so attracted to Gaara's chakra.
"Oh, uh, may I walk with you guys?" [y/n] asked the siblings.
They nodded and [y/n] stood beside Gaara but [y/n] made a little gap to make it not too obvious.
"So any plans or anything? Any exciting things happening this week?" [y/n] asked.
"Your birthday and the exams which I'm not too excited about it other than getting ranked," Temari said.
"Hm, speaking of birthdays, when are your birthdays?" [y/n] asked.
Temari and Kankuro quickly eyed Gaara and said their birthdays but Gaara didn't reply.
"Gaara...Kun, when is your birthday?" [y/n] asked.
The two siblings glanced at each other and said, "She said it!" [y/n] blushed and said, "Why not? I mean I call many boys like that."
"Who? I never heard you call Gaara that before," Temari asked.
[y/n] rolled her eyes. "Anyways, Gaara?" she said as she maintained eye contact with him.
"It's not important," he said bluntly.
[y/n] frowned. "Yes, it is-" she got cut off by the whisperings she can hear as they passed by the hallway.
"That creep," one of them said.
"Who's that? He looks so creepy," another said.
[y/n] frowned even more. "Why does everyone keep on judging him by his appearance? It's not fair, I wonder if they consider what Gaara feels," [y/n] thought in her mind. She clenched her fists and sighed. She looked over to Gaara who seemed to have no expression as always. [y/n] thought what he could be feeling behind the mask.
"Come on Gaara, tell me when your birthday... It may seem that it's not important to you but it is important to me," [y/n] said.
Temari giggled with her mouth covering her mouth. She nudged her little brother with her elbow and whispered, "Come on, she seems to care about you a lot." He nodded.
"His birthday is on January nineteenth," Temari said to [y/n].
She placed her index finger on her chin. "So that's...TODAY?!" she asked. "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GAARA-KUN!" she exclaimed as she hugged him. Everyone in the hallway stared at them because she said it so loudly plus she's hugging him on the spot. Before she knew it, she blushed in embarrassment and pulled away from him. Suddenly, a group of girls came running to Gaara and asking questions but he disappeared into grains of sand and flew away.
All the girls were completely confused, [y/n] got out of that awkward situation just in time and was still embarrassed by the whole situation, she looked down. "Can't this day get any more awkward?" she thought in her mind. Suddenly, she bumped into someone.
She looked up seeing an onyx pair of eyes glaring at her. "Hn, watch where you're going," Sasuke said coldly. [y/n] turned redder, quickly ran off with her eyes closed, not wanting any more eyes looking at her until she bumped into someone again. She fluttered her eyes, meeting a white, lavender tinted eyes staring at her warmly.
"[y/n], don't run in the hallways, you could bump into people but luckily it's just me," he said.
[y/n] looked away, trying not to meet his gaze and touched her arm back and forth. She walked away, ignoring Neji but he caught her arm. She pulled away with her strength but then she felt him embracing her from the back. Neji's head went closer to her ear which made her heart skip a beat, she gulped with her cheeks burning up and her eyes completely widened.
"[y/n], tell me what's wrong, I'm here to talk," he said.
She struggled to get off, knowing her own strength, she doesn't want to hurt him so she sighed in defeat. "This has been the most awkward day of my life," she said as she slowly removes Neji's arms. "Let's not make this any more awkward okay?" she asked. He smirked and nodded.
"Tell me," he said as he walked beside her.
She remembered about Gaara. "I will tell you all about it... There's something more important I have to do," she said as she quickly ran. Neji didn't stop her but simply sighed and walked to class. [y/n] used her Jutsu to find Gaara, his chakra is the most recognizable to her, she could easily sense him stongly, she wondered why. She went to the roof top seeing the redhead looking off the distance.
"Gaara?" she said.
The redhead seemed to be wiping off something from his face and made a handsign. [y/n] quickly went to him and said, "I'm so sorry about that Gaara-Kun, and I want to make it up to you."
"Is that so?" he asked.
She nodded slowly and said, "I really didn't mean to ruin your day by making an embarrassing moment with you-"
"Thank you," he said bluntly.
[y/n] squinted with a surprised face. "Why? You shouldn't be, I mean I just-" she got interrupted as soon as he held her hand.
"Thank you," he repeated.
[y/n] bit her lip as she felt her heart rate increased rapidly. She smiled it off and said, "Let's celebrate your birthday...Okay?" He smiled and disappeared into grains of sand. [y/n] frowned but still can feel his chakra around. Before she knew it, she felt her left tingle when she heard Gaara said, "Why do you care so much for a person like me?"
She froze on the spot and said straightforwardly, "Because you're my friend."
Gaara's eyes widened in curiosity because of that response, he didn't know what else to say, he was stunned by that simple response, it echoed multiple times in his head. Before Gaara could move, [y/n] asked, "Gaara, did you save me?"
Gaara walked towards the staircase down but was stopped after he felt arms embracing around him. His eyes grew wider, wanting to get out but at the same time, he liked it.
"You saved me last night, didn't you?" she asked as she hugged tighter behind his back.
