C40: Surprises...Surprises!

  "TEMARI! KANKURO!" Karura shouted from downstairs.

The two of them rushed downstairs as I peeked from the upstairs fence to look down. I could see them looking towards the open door but there's a wall blocking the door so I couldn't see who's there. For some reason, I'm getting a weird feeling, my heart is pumping loud in my ears and I feel someone's presence nearby. BEEP... BEEP... BEEP!!

"Aggh!" I squeaked.

I felt the vibration and sound of my notifications on my phone in my right pocket. I checked and it was from Messages, I wonder who's texting me at 10pm. I looked up and my face felt warmer, I knew there was someone nearby and it's none other than Gaara himself. I could feel his presence more powerful than anyone I've ever met, next is Neji but Gaara's one seems special.

"The girl who defeated jounin level ninjas afraid of her own phone sounds?" he teased with a monotone voice.

I made a nervous laugh and looked down. I wanted to talk to him about it. "Hey Gaara, could we... Talk about it?" I asked.

"About what?" he asked.

"About what you said during the tournament..." I replied.

Suddenly, he went towards me closer and closer, every step gave me goosebumps and made me shake. I hate this feeling. I was looking sideways which made me look nervous and afraid. Suddenly, he grabbed my hand, his surprisingly soft, warm and bigger hand grasping on mine which made my eyes grew wider and made me held my breath

"W-what are you doing?" I asked softly.

"I see the fear in your eyes, what is it that you fear about me?" he asked.

"Whaaaat?" I said, surprised which made me remove his hand. "I am NOT afraid of you, I just have weird feeling when you're around..."

"Not in a bad way... But rather of an odd feeling," I added for reassurance.

"What word would you describe this odd feeling you speak of?" he asked as he kept his eye contact with mine.

"Uhh..." I said, captivated by his glowing sea green eyes.

"HEY GUYSSss!" Naruto exclaimed from behind and remained silent after seeing us close together.

"Oh, uh, hey, Naruto! So...Uh, who did you... Invite?" I asked as I stood straight, getting some space away from him.

"Uh, I hope I didn't interrupt anything," Naruto said awkwardly as I went towards him.

I waved my hands to my front and said, "N-No! You did not interrupt anything at all, I was just speaking with Gaara about something..."

His eyes lit up and he seemed to put on a forced smile as he rubbed the back of his head. "Oh, uh, yeah! I invited Sakura of course!" he said.

"Sakura? Oh, did you invite Hinata as well?" I asked.

"Uh, I was about to but I had some second thoughts," Naruto said.

"Second thoughts?" I asked with my brows raised. "What do you mean?"

He scratched the side of his head and his eyes gazed to the other way. "We kind of had some awkward situations and uh..."

"I don't want to be much of the person who wants to know about relationships but when it comes Hinata, I have to know what happened," I said.
