Naruto likes me?!

  After I went home

"Welcome home, (y/n)"!" Mom exclaimed. "How was school?" as she approaches me and takes my backpack off.
"Good, I just made a new friend," I said as I untied my shoe.
"That's great, who is your friend?" she asked. "Is it a boy?"
"Does it matter?"
"Not really, well maybe, well, I'm your mother, I have to know what's going on with your life,"
"Oh okay, it's a boy, and his name is Gaara," I said.
"Isn't that the Kazekage's son?"
"I think so, from what I heard,"
"Be cautious of him, he's a powerful shinobi, but of course I won't worry too much since you're trained well after all these years,"
"Don't worry, mom, he's actually nice to me," I said.
"Alright then, just do your best in school and make all your training worth it,"
I went to my bedroom and shut the door...
"Okay, (y/n), I gotta do awesome this year, I have to show everyone what I've got, I can't disappoint mom," I said as I look out the window.


The following day

I went to Hinata's house and waited for her.
"Good morning, (y/n)!" Hinata shouted.
"Hey, where's Hanabi?" I asked.
"She's sick today, so she won't be coming to school today," Hinata said.
"It's quite unfortunate because today's the Dodge Ball championship for all classes," she added.
"May I see her please?" I asked.
"Why? We have to school now,"
"I might be able to help her," I said.
"Okay, but be quick," she said.
We went inside, seeing Hinata's father and Hanabi.
"Oh, Hinata, aren't you supposed to go now?" Hiashi, her father said.
"(y/n), you are here too," he concluded.
"Sorry to disrupt father, (y/n) wanted to see Hanabi, she said that she might be able to help," Hinata said.
"My mother trained me as a medical ninja throughout my years and I would like to use it for necessary needs such as this one," I said.
"Your mother was a very skilled ninja, very well, proceed," he said.
I laid my hands on Hanabi's forehead and started using my chakra.
"She should be good," I said.
Suddenly, Hanabi rose up from her bed.
"Take it easy, how are you feeling?" I asked.
"Better than ever! You're amazing! Now I can take part in the tournament!" she exclaimed.
Suddenly, a knock on the door grabbed our attention.
"I'll get it," Hinata said as she dashed to the door.
She opened it.
"Oh, Neji!" Hinata said. "Come in,"
"Hinata, thank you," Neji said.
"Wait, you seemed late as in you usually leave early don't you?" he continued.
"Oh yes, (y/n) and I was just about to leave,"
Neji bowed and approached us.
"Uncle, I've brought a medicine for Hanabi's sickness,"
"That's quite alright, thank you, but it looks like (y/n) has already healed Hanabi with her Medical Ninjutsu," he replied.
"Is that so, you must be very skilled to heal her that quickly," Neji said as he looks at me.
"Oh, it's nothing," I blushed.
"Don't be modest, (y/n)! Whenever I have this sickness, it usually takes me up to a week to heal up!" Hanabi exclaimed.
"I'm glad to help," I said cheerfully. "Alright let's go, Hinata,"
"Wait! I'll be quick, just give me five minutes and I'll be there," Hanabi said.
"We'll wait for you outside," Hinata said.
"Hinata, I'll walk with you and your friend, may I ask what your name is, despite the fact that I am in your class and yet I have forgotten, my apologies," Neji said.
"(y/n), that's what you can call me," I said as I smiled as I reached out my hand.
He shook my hand, I realized he had a wound on his hand.
"Hey, your hand, do you want me to heal it for you?" I asked.
"Thank you but I'm fine," he replied,
"No, you're not fine, besides we have a tournament today, and you need to be at your best," I said as I heal his wound.
"T-thank you, (y/n), I am in your debt," he said.
"Nah, just accept it as a friend," I said as I maintained eye contact.
"So, we're friends?" he asked.
"I'll be there when you need me," I smiled.
I just realized that that's the same exact words Gaara told me.

The door opened and Hanabi came out.
"I'm ready!" she exclaimed.
"Thank you again, (y/n), I am in your debt," Hiashi said.
"No problem! think of it as a gift!" I said.
We walked to school, and dropped off Hanabi in her class and walked with Neji and Hinata to our class.
We walked to different directions as our seats were far apart. Neji was at the front, while Hinata was at the far corner and I was at the back.
"Hi, Gaara!" I waved at him.
He gave me a grin, I guess that was his way of greeting.
"Hey, (y/n)!" Naruto said.
"Good morning, Naruto," I said as I waved.
"You ready for the tournament?" he asked.
"It's the first thing in the morning right?" I asked.
"Yup! We'll be versing the other Genin-Chunin class then we'll be versing the Jonin class if we win, after the practice," he exclaimed.
"And, we have lots of talented shinobi in our class, especially me!" Naruto said.
"Don't be so sure of that, Naruto, the last time you said that, the Jonin class won," Sakura said.
"Well, this time, we have an extra member of our class which gives a higher chance of success!"
Asuma-Sensei entered.
"Good morning, fellow shinobis'!" he exclaimed. "As you know, we have a tournament after the other class, so we better get warmed up! Let's head to the gym!" he said.
Everyone dashed and made it to the gym. I was leading, making it to the gymnasium, while a black hair guy with an Uchiha symbol behind his shirt was behind me.
"You're pretty fast, we'll see if you can beat me," he said as he went faster.
I loved being compete so I ran faster than I usually do. Seeing him, surpassing him, seeing the look on his face. I made it to the gym before he could.
Suddenly a bunch of girls came by.
"Wait, did you beat Sasuke-Kun?" A crimson red hair girl said.
"Is that a surprise?" I asked.
"I was just holding back, that's all," he said.
Suddenly, Hinata and Neji approached me.
"(y/n)! You went so fast that I couldn't catch up to you! I had to use my byakugan to see where you were going!" Hinata said, with out of breath.
"Hey, who's that guy with the Uchiha crest at his back?" I asked.
"That's Sasuke Uchiha," Neji said.
"I can't believe you beat him," the girl with crimson red hair said.
"I'm Karin, and just to warn you, don't challenge him, he's powerful and hot too!" she said as her eyes sparkle.
Sasuke went in and the girls followed.
"Okay...what's up with her?"
"Lots of girls love Sasuke because of his looks and his power, especially when he's part of the Uchiha clan," Hinata said.
Suddenly, Naruto approached.
"Hey lots of girls like me to you know!" Naruto said.
"N-Naruto kun! Uh-I-nevermind," Hinata said as she puts her head down.
"Hey, Hinata, what do you think of me?" Naruto asked.
"N-Naruto," she mumbled as I saw her face turning as red as a tomato.
"Let's go, Hinata," Neji said. "You too, (y/n),"
"Hey, (y/n), do you know why Hinata always does that when she's around me?" Naruto asked as we walked.
"Oh Naruto, don't you get it?" I teased.
"I admit it, no girl likes me," He said.
"N-no! that's not what I meant-"
"You don't have to give me any motivating words to make me feel better," Naruto said.
"Naruto, I'll be the first girl to like you then," I said.
"Wait, you like me?" he asked as his eyes sparkled.
"Yeah," I said.
"YES!!" Naruto screamed. "(y/n) likes me!"
Everyone has heard and chattering started.
"Keep it down will ya?" I said.
"You don't have to be embarrassed about it, (y/n)-Chan!" Naruto said blushing.
Suddenly, Hinata approached me.
"Y-you like Naruto?" she asked sadly.
"Yeah, but I was doing it because he felt sad, well you know what I mean, as a friend," I smiled.
"But I don't think he got what you mean," she said.
"(y/n)! Meet me after school, okay?" Naruto exclaimed.
Hinata ran away.
"Hinata! Wait!" I shouted.
"Oh, Naruto...I was just trying to make some friends, maybe not..."
