I rushed to Temari and urged to tell me what she's hiding but she just said words that doesn't seem to make sense.

"It seems that you still don't quite get the idea, why else do you think Gaara saved you that night?" she asked as she took some chip bags from the shelf.

"That is still a mystery to me, how did Gaara know I was in trouble and what happened after he saved me? Even my mom was acting strange about it," I said.

She stared at me for a while as she grabbed the food. "Here," she said as she handed me a plate of cooked Gizzard salted tongue which looked delicious, probably leftovers.

"All the questions you have has nothing to do with me, but I'm sure Gaara can fill you in if he would be willing to open up," she said as we went up the stairs.

"Where's he now?" I asked.

"Probably where he usually is, at the back balcony," she replied.

"Where's that" I asked.

Her smile turned to a smirk and said, "go upstairs and you'll find the balcony when you turn to the left."

"Thanks, but don't tell anyone, just tell them that I'm helping your mom cook or something believable," I whispered.

She nodded with satisfaction and parted in separate ways. I went upstairs and followed her instructions. As I went, I could see a balcony that is quite huge, almost like a medium sized room except that it's wide open and there's a wooden bench to sit on with a few plants placed on the ground. It was a beautiful sight, I could see their backyard which had a mini pool and hot springs at the far corner. There's also a garden of beautiful flowers at the right and a sandpit with a mini volleyball net I presume.

I looked around, Gaara doesn't seem to be anywhere around here, I just looked at the beautiful night sky full of stars as I observed the light in the pool. I ate some of the food Temari gave me as I breathed the fresh air. Even if I couldn't see Gaara, I could sense his presence is near.

As I was about to eat a piece, I felt Gaara's chakra so close to me as if the magnet just instantly attracted as soon as it met. I backed off not realizing I bumped against his chest, my eyes widened.

"What are you doing here?" he asked in a monotone voice.

I gulped as my heart started beating rapidly. I slowly turned around, meeting the sparkling teal eyes of the night. I couldn't help but stare but since I didn't want to make it obvious, I quickly averted my eyes to the moon by turning my body towards the railings of the balcony, pretending to be busy and casual, I ate some.

Suddenly, his hand reached out from my shoulder which gave me a total goosebump, I didn't know what he was about to do so I remained frozen..

He grabbed a piece from my plate which made my skipped a beat in relief. I breathed heavily in and out softly and quick. He leaned against the railings as he looked at the moon. I looked straight at the moon as he looked at me from the corner of my eyes, trying to make it seemed that I didn't notice.

"Hm, you knew my favourite," he said.

"Uhh... I saw you eating them quite a lot before so... I thought I'd grab some," I said nervously. Yes, I lied and I don't know why, oh that rhymes!

I feel like this was part of Temari's secret plan that I don't know...

"So, what are you doing here? Aren't you playing that stupid game?" he asked.

"Are you mad about that?" I asked as I eyed him.

His eyes widened slightly when I faced him but his brows furrowed afterwards.

"As if I ever will, like I said, it's stupid," he said.

"Hm," I said as my lips curled into a smile. "Then why are you so grumpy about it?"

He didn't reply but simply took another piece from the plate.

"Gaara, tell me what happened during that night," I said.

"I could tell you, but, I was told not to tell you," he replied.

"What? Why not? And you told me that you're going to fill me in with all my questions, what was that all about?" I barked angrily.

Not realizing I just shouted at him, I felt embarrassed but at the same time I feel like I deserve to know what happened.

"You're not going to be pleased with it," he said.

"What? I don't care, I want to know, Gaara, please tell me, my mom is acting weird about it, she tells me to stay away from you sometimes and I don't know why but Gaara, please tell me, I crave to know what's going on," I pleaded.

"You still don't get it," he said.

"What? What do I not get?" I asked.

"Why else do you think your mother would tell you to stay away from me? Surely you have thought of one reason that would most likely be," he said coldly.

I felt like crying but I'm too angry and confused to do that, getting scolded by Gaara just gives me the feels.

"I don't know! Wh-what did you do?" I asked, knowing that my voice is becoming shaky.

.

.

"[y/n]," a familiar voice spoke.

I turned to my left, where the voice was coming from and it was Neji. Great.

"Neji?" I asked.

"I hope I didn't interrupt anything, it's time for the game," Neji spoke.

I looked down, not realizing that my hand clutched into a ball and was shaking. It felt like wanting to punch or destroy something.

"Go."

I immediately looked up to Gaara, my lips pursed and I glared at him intensely as my brows furrowed. I closed my eyes and turned to Neji. I didn't want to make a scene so I held in all these emotions within and teleported to the washroom. There, all my tears bursted, I'm such a crybaby tonight it's ridiculous.

"[y/n]," the same familiar voice spoke.

Uh oh... who's here? I didn't realize that someone was here...?

I looked to the right, where the voice came from...
