Power-taking

Days passed... "Flaming bitch!!!" You heard a shriek, which made you wake up from sleeping.

You rubbed your eyes and frowned a bit, seeing Penelope with her usual glare and mischievous smirk. You gave her a lazy glare. She walked up to you and pulled up a part of your hair. "It's Power-taking day."

You looked down. "I don't care..." you muttered, which turned her smirk upside down.

She yanked your hair painfully. "Listen here. Go sass me all you want, but don't even try to break out here and go back to Jack and the other guardians."

You managed to roll your eyes by her possessiveness over Jack. "No chop-chop. Stand up and let me take your powers." She removed her hand from your hair and stood up.

You just sighed and followed her outside the dark room. You're getting weak and you thought that Penelope was dumb enough to take your powers, because you lose half of it already.

You suddenly remembered... where's your battleaxe? You just sighed. Probably the Blacks took care of it.

You and Penelope are still walking. You looked down and saw her... uhh... feeling nervous? You squinted your eyes a bit, as curiosity fills in. "Uh, Penelope. Are you alri--"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP, INFERNO!!!" She suddenly yelled frustratedly. You just stared on her, blinking. What's with her sudden mood?

When you two reached a certain room with weird furnitures and stuffs, you realized that this is the place where your powers will be taken. And right there, is Pitch Black in his usual robe.

"Look what we got here. A weak fire girl." He managed to tease you. Wow. After you lose him tons of times? Just wow.

He turned to his daughter. "Good work, my daughter." Penelope just replied a nod.

You just stared at her. You've never seen her feeling nervous and down, since her usual expression is bitch faced, until now.

Pitch held his daughter's shoulder. She just looked up on him with no emotion. Now you got more curious.

Why did her usual look changed when... her dad was in her presence?
