Instead of being mad, you felt sympathy for her. You just stared at her as she fell down on her knees, sobbing hysterically.
She accidentally pressed something that made the trap in your hands release.
You jumped down and was about to run away, but you turned around and saw her still sobbing.
You wanted to comfort her, but you don't think that would be good, because she's an enemy.
You sighed as sympathy crawls all over you. You sat beside her and stared at her, still sobbing.
"Do you still love Jack?" You asked her, which made her jump a bit in surprise.
She looked at you weirdly. "What are you still doing here?" Her mascara are already messing her face up.
"I'm here for you to tell me what bugs you." You straightforwardly answered.
She's still glaring on you, then looked away, followed by a sigh. "Back then, Jack and I were a happy immortal couple. But I don't want to tell him my dark secret that I'm the boogeyman's daughter. I really loved him with all my heart, and I'm willing to be good, just for him. But then, one day, it's Midnight and I forgot to go home.
**flashback (this is Penelope's PoV)**
"Uh, Frosty." I called him, who's sleeping beside me. We're laying on some empty balcony.
He woke up and noticed my tone. "Why? Are you okay? Is there something that bugs you?" He asked as we both got up.
I shook my head. "I-I need to go home."
He smirked and wrapped his other arm around me. "Great. I'll take you there."
"What!? No!" I suddenly shouted.
"Why?" he asked me, disappointed.
I pursed my lips and looked up to him. "Frosty... please don't be mad about this."
He frowned. "Uh... okay."
"Frosty... I'm--"
"JACK!!!!" We both heard his other friends, who are probably the good ones.
The bird fairy, the cookie-freak, the mute kiddo, and the Scottish kangaroo. They all stared at me.
"Who's she, mate!?" the Scottish kangaroo asked Jack.
"Guys. She's my girlfriend--" Jack was about to introduce me to them, until
"PENELOPE!?" We both suddenly heard a familiar deep voice. Pitch Black! My dad!
We both turned to him. He glared to Jack. "Jack Frost!? What are you doing with my daughter!!??"
"Your daughter!?" Jack asked him before turning to me with a serious look. "Pen. Is that true?"
I sighed and nodded. All of the sudden, he stood up. "How could you!? You made me believe to your shenanigans!!"
"Frosty, it's not like that."
"Why didn't you told me earlier?"
"Maybe you'll hate me forever."
"You should've just told me in the beginning! You knew how mad I Am to your father, right!?"
Jack's right. I should've told him earlier. I looked down and nodded. I noticed him wiped a tear from his eyes and how he fought it back. "Pen. We're over."
I looked up to him. "HUH!? WHAT!? JACK!! PLEASE NO! I LOVE YOU!!!" I cried, but he resisted.
He ditched me with his other guardians. Pitch came up to me. "You're in a relationship with that... Frostboy!?"
I sniffled and nodded. "So ironic. He supposed to make everyone, including you, happy. But now, what did he do to you? He broke your heart."
"Dad..."
"It's going to be fine, Penelope. Let's go home before that pipsqueak bothers you again."
