The school day ended a few hours ago and I didn't see Alex until we got on the bus ride to go to our sector unit but I still feel uneasy from the words he had said at the end of the first block. What did he mean? Why did he tell me? Well, I guess I'm going to find out right now.
I walk over to Alex's unit and knock on the glass door he had. I then see Alex come up to the door with a grumpy face which consisted of his face being scrunched up, and it was pretty cute, similar to a five-year-old that hadn't gotten what they wanted.
He doesn't open the door, instead he stared at me for a few agonizingly long minutes. Then he walked away without a word. But I had a few words for him,
"What the tacos! Alex open the door! Just cause you're grouchy doesn't mean you have to be rude!"
I hear muffled words coming from inside the house saying,
"Go away, Alma!"
"Okay then," I mumble to myself.
"I guess I have to do this the stalker way. Hmm, if I were a stalker what would I do to get to the stalkee?" I say to myself, trying to think of a way to get to Alex.
I end up searching the unit for any windows even though I knew there weren't any because all of the units were the same; one giant cube with two levels, linoleum floors with cream walls except the certain use of each room is different.
So I went to the door and smashed my face against it, trying to look into his unit.
It was plain with little to know decorations. A couch in what I suppose would be the living room was pushed against the right wall making it seem as if the room has more space than in actuality.
Then I think I see a table and stools for I guess the kitchen. But that's all I get to see before Alex's body gets in my view. But I don't mind because I get a different view of his abs, as i notice that he is shirtless with only black sweats on which I hadn't noticed the first time I had seen him on the other side of his door. I hear him say,
"Staring is rude, you know."
"Yeah, I know."
I hadn't realized I had been staring until my focus traveled up to his pecks then to his biceps which had muscle entwined around them and finally I reached his face. I get a shocked by the coloring of his eyes because I had forgotten how green his eyes were and his chiseled face perplexed me. But all he did was smirk at me.
"Enjoying the view?"
"Yup." I say laughing nervously.
I ask him one more time before i decide to give up on finding out what he meant before,
"Can you let me inside now?"
"Sure, " is all he says when the door slides open by placing his palm on the touch screen on his side of the door.
I then remember that my face was smashed against the door but it's too late before I fall inside.
I thought that Alex would've caught me but no, instead he side steps me and I end up falling face first into the floor.
"Thanks for catching me, you hobo!" I yell sarcastically.
"Anytime," is his only response.
I wandered the unit but there wasn't much to look at. It was exactly like mine so I took a seat on a linoleum kitchen stool that looked worn out from use but yet still had black paint on the legs which looked amazing in contrast to the white tabletop. But then I heard a muffled shout from upstairs who was Alex,
"Let me just put on a shirt so I don't distract you, okay! And by the way, do you stalk here often or is it just me?"
"Ha ha, you are so hilarious, aren't you!" I yell back.
I laugh anyways because he's just so dorky through his little bad boy charade and I also imagined the smirk he most likely wore.
By the time he comes back, I'm starving and he notices this when my stomach decides to growl loudly. Before I can get up and leave to feed myself, he agrees to feed me because I, of course, am his beloved annoying buddy, according to him.
"Thanks for the food!" I say.
"No problem," he replies, a small smile on his face.
This is when I decide that I, Alma Ruiz, have some sort of attraction towards Alex Rodriguez. But I knew that I had better things to do other than chase some boy that I just met and would probably get over in about a few weeks.

Alex surprises me even more when he pulls an old fashioned radio similar to mine and starts playing some music. I ask him,"You into this kind of music too?"
"D'you mean oldies?"
I nod.
"Yea, I like the sense of the past leading our future on."
"Wow, Alex, you just keep getting better and better, don't you?"
"Only for you Captain Clumsy," he makes fun, a smirk on his face while throwing a wink at me.
I take to offense and wondered if he saw me in the morning, falling into the sinkhole. But I decide to forget about for now and crossed my fingers that he hadn't seen me.
I pondered to myself in my daydreaming daze that I'd never thought that one day I'd get to see this side of Alex. Nor did I think that it would take a day to see some parts of him that he doesn't show throughout the school day. Maybe he isn't such a tough bad boy like I thought with his leather jackets and mean demeanor.
I was actually glad that I had the pleasure to meet someone like Alex. He's such a good friend even though we've just met and we can't be counted as friends just yet but I didn't know.
Maybe one day, I'll see the bad side of Alex Rodriguez but from the looks of it, I wasn't going to see it anytime soon.
