Alex's POV

  I couldn't breath.

I rushed out of the classroom as soon as I see Alma. I didn't know if she was the trigger to my sudden panic attack or something, someone, else is. But I knew I had to get away from this horrid school.

I didn't know why I'm even here. No, I did. I was here for Alma.

I was sat in my bathroom near the sink, occasionally splashing my face with water and taking deep breaths to get rid of the nauseous feeling I had deep down in my stomach.

The panic attacks were becoming more frequent ever since I came back to The Commonwealth but today was the first time I had one at school. It troubles me to think that maybe the cause had something to do with all of the altered soldiers close by, it was affecting me. I wondered if Alma was okay then, thinking back to when I ran from her.

I came out of the bathroom to realize that I forgot my sachel in the classroom. I shrugged my shoulders carelessly, hoping that Alma brought it later on in the day.

I then heard a loud clunk! outside if my door, directly in my doorstep. I rushed over to see Alma looking behind her at a masculine figure that had a  iron red covered pipe in his hands, dressed completely in black.

I was still on the otherside of the door, frozen, when I saw him pick Alma up in his arms and take her away. But not before he stared at me directly in the eyes and mouthed the words,

  "You shouldn't be here either."

I gave him a hard glare, apparently the only face I can pull to seem intimidating. Alma was right before, I needed to loosen up.

I placed my palm on the touch screen but was only rewarded with the door glowing red, a loud ring coming from the unit, signaling an intruder. The door shut automatically, preventing me from getting out. There on the floor was my sachel along with blood splattered every which way.

Then I heard a loud thunk! thunk! thunk!

  "Crap!"

I turned around to see none other than Luke himself with a sledge hammer in his hand standing next to a gaping hole in my living room. He had a huge hole in the right sleeve of his shirt and he looked solemnly at it while whispering,
