"This place is cool, but I dont belong here."
As soon as I got to the cafeteria, "Mr. Perfect" dragged me over to his table, and I noticed has never had any occupants besides him.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"I mean that I'm not broken like these other fuckers." His eyes flicked over to Ray in the corner. "I'm sick. I'll be better in a few weeks then I'm outta this bitch."
Shit.
I knew I had to make a real move very soon or I might miss my chance. But he might not be broken. What of I'm trying to fix something that's already perfect? He looked me in the eyes then looked back down to study the pattern on the lunch table.
"I dont know why I'm telling you this, we just met." He looked back up at me. His eyes shifted to something behind my back. He seemed to be in disbelief for a moment, then shook it off. A few awkward moments passed before I broke the silence.
"So you like guys, or..."
"I like guys, but I have a special thing for you." He winked.
"You know I could top you any day of the week, right?" I said with a chuckle.
"Um, wrong. I could dominate you in seconds." He said, serious.
"Um, right. I-"
"We'll just have to find out, won't we." He interrupted.
The nurse stood behind us, mouth wide in shock. She quickly blinked it back.
"Um, Mr. Iero, your visitation time is u-"
"I know." I shot a glare at Mr. Perfect, who was clearly fighting the urge to laugh. I still don't know his name.
But, more progress.
That's what counts.
