Gerard texted me the next day, and I could practically feel the urgency.

Gee😍😍😍💕💕:Get here as fast as you can. Shit's going down.

I sped to Redstone in record time. Everyone looked a little tense. Well, a lot tense.

"Sorry, Mr. Iero. We can't take visitors right now because of...recent events." The receptionist quickly waved me away, looking behind her every five seconds or so. I blinked at her, confused. There was pretty much only one other way to get in, the file room. I noticed I didn't hear the usual chatter of patients in the café, so Gee would be in his room. I rushed to 16B and hurriedly knocked. Gee pulled me in, locking the door behind him.

"We have to get out of here. Now."

"Wait, why?" I asked.

"Someone has Mel, and apparently I'm next." He responded, trying to hide his fear. We heard someone yelling and people screaming.

"GET OFF ME YOU ASSFACE"

"That's Melanie! We have to go get her..." Before I could look over to tell him that its a stupid idea, he was already halfway out of the door. Next thing I knew, I turned the corner to the the café to see him in the captors arms, and Melanie stumbling to her room, gasping and clutching her throat. The captor looked up. I immediately recognized his face.

Gee's brother.

I backed against the wall, near the fire alarm.

"That's it, don't get any closer." He growled.

"Let him go. Take me instead. Just don't hurt him." My hand fumbled with the fire alarm next to me.

"No no no, pretty boy. He's one of them. I must kill him. He's just here to kill you and steal your secrets." He snarled.

"Are you sure it's not just in your head?" He pulled a gun from his coat and pressed it to Gee's head, and his eyes grew wide.

I pulled the alarm and he dropped it to the floor. "GEE, GET TO MY CAR AND HIDE" He nodded and ran outside. I lunged for the gun and pointed it at Mr. Poker face. I closed my eyes and pulled the trigger. I saw people trickling out of their rooms and stood over him. "I never want to see you around Gee ever again. Understand?" He nodded as the sirens started to sound. I ran for the file room, where Gee was waiting at the door, holding something. I grabbed his free hand and ran.

Everything I just did is highly illegal...

 I might go to prison if they catch us...

I'm not a very fast runner...

But its okay,

Because he's running with me.
