"Austin can you please stop?"
I looked behind me to see Austin tugging Alison's hair. Jeez, being a "guardian" wasn't so easy. I walked down the classroom and pushed Austin away from Alison.
"Dude you need to stop. You can keep bullying me, but you need to stop bullying Alison." I said to him. For a moment I thought he would consider my idea.
Nope.
"Sorry Hun, but I like messing with you both." He gave me a wink and walked away.
"Idiot." I turned to Alison.
"You OK?"
"Yeah. Do you know when lunch is? I'm starving." I laughed and looked at the old clock.
"Yeah it starts in two minutes. But first we have to finish class." Alison laughed.
"And I thought I was the nerd!"
I chuckled and we sat back down in our seats. Our social studies teacher, Mr. Bow, had to leave class for a minute, giving Austin a perfect chance to mess with us. We were learning about the Greek gods and goddess. Which interested me a lot. It would cool to be a god or goddess of something. I wonder what I would be the goddess of?
Goddess of being a victim?
Maybe.
I knew that Alison would be Athena, the goddess of wisdom. She was really smart and wise once you get to know her. Sure, she may act and look like a nerd, but that doesn't mean that she is one. Soon enough it was lunch time. Alison and I booked out of the classroom to the Cafe. I waited for Alison to finish up and we went to a small table in the corner.
"Alison I know you talked to the class about yourself, but do you like anything else? another hobby?"
She looked at me. "Hmm...I know! YouTube! I like to watch the funny videos about dogs."
I forgot! I was going to make a YouTube video today. I was going to make song cover videos, impersonations and other stuff like that.
My YouTube channel name has yet to decide on what I should call it.
Soon lunch was over and school still had two more classes left. I went to my locker and grabbed my stuff for class. If I can just be quick enough, I can avoid Austin and his gang. Lucky for me, the second I walked into the classroom I heard Austin's gang near his locker.
I let out a breath I have been holding since lunch ended. Why does people have to be so mean to people like Alison and I? What did we do to them? If they just took a second to realize that I have some problems myself other than school.
And I do.
My dad's been at work more often so I don't see him anymore. My little brother still makes fun of me and doesn't even know how much it hurts.
Maybe, just maybe, Austin could look at me and think that he should stop bullying because it already hurts. You think I asked for this? I didn't. I wanted to be a normal teenager but nope. Fate had other plans for me.
Class went by quickly, and I ran to my final class. Science was easy as always. We would listen to the teacher, take notes, work on a worksheet, then leave. And we did just that. Listen, notes, work, then leave. I was glad the day ended so quickly. I got my backpack and headed out to my sliver truck.
I started the engine and backed up, looking at the front view mirror. While driving though the parking lot, I thought of some ideas for what song I should do for my first YouTube video. An idea sprouted from my brain. I would do the most popular and catchiest song on earth.
But I had to do my homework first.
Soon I was home and I walked in the living room, backpack over my shoulder.
"Hi Honey! How was school?" My mom would always ask the same question. And I planned to return the favor by saying the same response.
"It was good mom. Science was fun as well!" Mom smiled. "Good, now go hurry up with your homework so you can get to dinner on time today." I nodded and went upstairs to my room.
The walls were painted with a sunset orange. the floor was wooden, which was the only thing I liked about my room. The walls were pretty, but I didn't like it because it made my orange hair blend in. I didn't want to blend in here. I mean I wanted to at school, but not here. I got out my math homework and started working. If I wanted to make my video today, I had to work hard.
Soon enough, I was done with all my homework. I looked at my clock, which of course, was orange. It read, "8:02" I didn't have enough time to make my video. I had to make it tomorrow, sadly. I went downstairs late once again for dinner.
"And where were you young lady?!" My father yells from his chair.
"I was doing homework dad." I said, taking a seat between my mom and Sam, my little brother.
"Homework? You know family is more important than school! You should be dinner at exactly 8:00!"
First of all, you want to talk about family? Fine. Where were you when I needed you for when I had my middle school ceremony? You were at work. Where were you when I had parent's day in 5th grade? Oh that's right, you were at work. "Family is important" says the man who doesn't have enough time for his own family.
Second of all, I was only two minutes late! It's not that much dad. You need to calm down about time.
"Sorry dad. I'll try to be on time next time," Was all I could say.
"You better be young lady, or else," Or else what dad? You miss out on family time again then blame me for it? Sure that's fair.
I finished dinner as fast as I could then headed upstairs to my room. It was now 9:00, so I put on some pajamas and turned off the lights. I hope one day my father can learn that I'm trying my best on anything, and that's exactly what I'm going to do tomorrow.
Hey guys I hoped you liked this chapter! Can you guess what song Anna will do for her YouTube video? I'll give you a hint: This song was released on 1977 and is one of the most catchiest songs on earth.
Whoever gets it right will get a dedication in the next chapter!
Good luck!
