It's been a full 3 months since Shinto came to Moki city. And ever since she came and beat the mess out of Vin and his friends, she became feared by all boys, even Vin. No one messes with me either. Every time they try, Shinto just gives them so death glare and they back away. Its funny though. Shinto is the shortest person in our class and everyone's afraid of her. Its so funny. I became friends within Myuesaki too. Shinto introduced me to her. We all became friends after that. We do everything together. Myuesaki's the one that gets me and Shinto out the house which is good. Shinto got even paler than before cause of not getting sunlight. Shinto, doesn't listen to me well. When she doesn't get any kind of sunlight, she gets paler and paler. She's like a flower who keeps sunlight to live. Anyways, she doesn't listen. She does the opposite of what I say. So if I tell her to study, she doesn't, but still somehow past test. When I tell her and be colorful, she dresses in the even darkest of blacks and greys. But, that what makes her so adorable.
I sat on Shinto's front steps off her house with Myuesaki. We always walk to school together. I played with Link, Shinto's kitten. I shock around a little piece of yarn and he chases it. I smiled as he did. I thought it was the cutest thing, but I know Shinto is the cutest thing. Soon, Shinto came out. She had on a hoodie, black shorts and black boots. She had on a scarf that covered her mouth and she had the hood from the hoodie on.
Hey Shinto! Whats with the outfit, its not that cols outside. Myuesaki said.
Uhhh, no reason. Shinto said closing the door.
OK, come on. I said smiling. I grabbed her hand and we started walking.
We walked to school. We sanged songs, told jokes, and talked about random stuff. I was wondering, why was Shinto wearing a scarf, and a hood. She never wears her hood. Even when its raining, she never wear it. Then as she speaked, her British accent sounded kinda or, stiff. Like she had something stuck on her teeth. I asked her if she was sick and she said no, she was fine. I didn't want to keep bothering her about it, so I brushed it off. We soon got too school and we went to class. Our first class on Thursday is gym, which I hate. Even though I'm the fastest runner in my class, next to Shinto and Myuesaki, I still hate it. We play a lot of dodge ball, and people comes after me first all the time. And thing is, people make sure Shinto and Myuesaki are on the opposite team as me, so they have to attack me. When Shinto's in her "mode" its hard getting her out of it. She loves sports, most karate and sword fighting. She has a strong arm, is tuff to push down, and just all out, bad, uhhh, ass? I think that's how you say it.
After changing into our gym clothes, we sat in the bleachers and waited for the teacher. Shinto had on a black beanie hat, but she had all her hair tucked into it. Then she had on the scarf. I really wanted to know why she was wearing all that. But, like I said, I'm going to brush it off. Soon the gym teacher came. He rolled a cart that had a cover over it. I got scared.
Hello class I got a surprise for you all. He said.
That's not good.
I thought I'll do something different this year. For the next 4 years of your life here, for gym during the fall and winter, you will be learning how to...fence! He said uncovering the cart.
Fencing swords, armor, and chinese fans that have blades at the ends were in on the cart. The gym room filled with whispers. I looked over at Shinto. I knew she was smiling evilly. Her eye brows arch a little and her eyes narrow. Plus, she cracked her knuckles while doing it. Everyone knows that Shinto is skilled at fencing and using weapons, we are all doomed. The gym teacher, Coach XX, took out one of the swords and held it behind his neck.
This is the fencing sword, and in this class, its going to be your best friend! Now, who will like to go first?! He said.
Without teaching us!? I said, thinking out loud.
