It's almost Christmas! Yay! I'm so excited. I love Christmas. All the snow, Christmas lights, joyful Christmas music, actually speeding time with my family. It makes me smile. It started snowing a few days ago, and I'm so excited to go play in it. I love playing in the snow. Even though I'm a spring baby, I love the cold. Weird. Shinto is a winter baby and she hates the cold. I guess I won't see her out a lot. I sat in the living room and looked at the window. I was waiting for my mom to get home so I can go out and play.
Uhhh, where is she!? I said bouncing on the couch.
Soon my mom pulled up to the house. I smiled and went to the door and opened it. My mom, and dad, got out the car.
Hi mom! Hi dad! I said waving.
Mom, dad! Max said running down the stairs.
They smiled and walked into the house. They took off their boots and coats.
Hey mom, can I go out and play now I asked.
Sure. But not for long. We're going Christmas shopping later she said.
Uhhhgh! I cried.
Come on now. You use to like Christmas shopping she said.
Yeah, when I was little and loved everything I said.
I guess your right. You turned into a game loving boy. Videogames are costly you know she said.
I know I said putting on my boots and coat.
I got on my hat and gloves and ran outside. I smiled at the neighborhood as it was offered in snow. I fell into the snow and made snow angles. I laughed as I did. Snow is what I look forward to every winter. Other than Christmas. I sat up and looked over the Shinto's house. I stood and went to see if she wanted to come out an play. I knocked. Kenta opened to door.
Hello Ben. How's it going? He asked.
Good. Is Shinto home? I asked.
He nodded and called her down. Shinto came to the door. Her hair started to grow back. I got use to looking at her with short hair, so she looks kinda weird.
Hey Ben she said.
Hi! I wanted to know if you would like to come and play with me outside I said.
Sure. Wait here she said smiling.
I nodded and smiled.
Kenta closed the door and I waited for Shinto to come out. I sat on the steps and drew in the snow. I wonder what's Shinto doing for the winter. Maybe she'll go back to England to see her family. Or they might come here. That would be nice. But I won't see her til after New Years if she goes to England. But if her family comes here, my parents would want to meet them, which means Fon. No need to explain, just, Fon. I started to shiver again. Fon is a nice person and all, but a little to nice, mostly to boys, mostly to me. Something cold hit me in the head.
Hahahahaha! Got you Ben! Shinto said laughing.
I stood up and turned around. She was wearing a black coat that had fuzz on the hood. She threw a snow ball in my face. She laughed again. I brushed the snow off me and smiled. I picked up some snow. She started to run. I chased her all around the front yard with a snowball. She hid behind a tree, thinking I won't find her. But I did and threw a snowball at her. She laughed and threw one at me. We soon had a huge snowball fight. We made forts and snowman. After we sat in the snow fort. Shinto blew into her hands and then made a mini snowman. I watched. Her hands were shaking.
