"Maybe I shouldn't go tomorrow." I mumbled

"What, why?" Izzy asked

"I don't have anyone to watch Theo." I shrugged

I've been trying to find a way to get out of going to the big party tomorrow, it's not that I'm nervous; or maybe I am. But I really just don't know what to say to Duff anymore, I hated to say that I missed him-but it was kind of true. 

"Well, we'll find someone. Maybe Eleanor has a friend that would be willing to watch Theo."

"Or I could just stay behind..." I muttered

"And why would you do that? Are you scared?" Izzy smirked

"What, no." I answered quickly

"Steven is going to be there, you don't want to see him?" 

I thought for a minute,"Okay, I'm only going for him. And Eleanor."

I went over to the phone and dialed Eleanor's number, "Ellie, get over here." 

"Already ahead of ya." She said, and the doorbell rang

I ran to the door and threw it open. "What's up?" She asked, pushing past me

"So tomorrow is the party that everyone won't shut up about," I started

"Yeah so-wait you better not be bailing on me." Elle shouted

"I'm not, but I dunno who can watch Theo while I'm gone." 

"Oh, I know. My coworker Mel can. She has a son too, I'm sure she wouldn't mind." Elle said while rummaging through the kitchen cabinets

"Okay will you ask her for me?"

"Of course." Elle said, popping a chip in her mouth

"Thank you." I said in relief

"So, tell me, what's going on with Duffster and you?" 

"I'm not quite sure." I sighed

"What do you think I should do?" 

"I think you should do whatever you want. Do what makes you happy." Elle smiled, picking up a cookie

"But I don't know what makes me happy! Well, pizza makes me happy...also tacos."

"Yes, those make me happy too. But you know what I think makes you happy is  Duff. I know it's going to take some mending between you two, but I think that you both still love each other, despite wanting to ever admit it. But really, you can't live without each other." 

I sighed, "I think you're right." 

"But I'm not going to rush back into things." I said

"Well good. I think takin' it slow will make things better for you two." Elle smiled

"Guess we have to break the news to Slash." Elle smirked

"Oh stop it, he does not like me." I rolled my eyes

"You are so oblivious!" She shrieked

"I'm not, you just are not understanding." 

"Oh honey, you are the one that doesn't understand." She laughed

"That poor boy's been in love with you ever since he first laid eyes on you." 

"Stop it, you make me feel bad." I frowned

"Good." She grinned

Eleanor called her friend for me, and she agreed to watch Theo tonight. I am a bit nervous leaving Theo with someone that I don't know, but Elle insists that she's a great person; and I trust Elle. For tonight, Izzy had bought a case of beer to bring with us.
